BENEFIT FOR STEVE
Sunday, January 16 fbr Steve Bergbreitner. All funds ccdlected plus what will be supplemented by Aid Association for Lutheran Branch 191 of Trinity, Huntley, to reach a goal of S4000. Music for the dance was provided by the Burton's Bridge Band and the Deuces Wild. Steve has B cdl Lymphonoma Stage 3 Cancer, fa May doctors removed 90% of a Spfaal cord tumor at Illinoia Masonic. Sface then he has been gomg to St. Jude's Hospital fa Memphis, Tennessee. Steve is currently offthe diemotherapy and holdfag his own.

Trinity Lutheran Church of Huntley is having a Mother and Son banquet on Sunday, February 13. 198,^ af 7:00 p.m. Tickets may be purchased frotn Alfred Jordi 669-5643 or from thc church office.
The cost of tickets is: $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for those under 12 years of age. There will be no tickets sold at the door. Proceeds frotn this banquet will be u.sed as Trinity continues to celebrate it's 25th anniversary of it's present Worship site.

HOBOSHOW TICKETS ON SALE FEB. 12
The Chancel Choir of the First Congregatkmal Churdi has set the dates for their annual Hobo Show and Dfaner as March 4th and Sth. They are ezpandfag to three shows to try to fill the demand for seats. So if you had given up on gettfag tickets, this may be the year to try agafa.
"The Hobo Dinner is prepared by the ladles of the churdi and consists of a family style, all-you-can egi meal of beef stew, mashed potatoes, tossed salad, frendi bread, beverage and dessert. This Is followed by an hour long variety show performed by the dwir. The cfioir is directed by Miss Luann tiunz and accompanied by* Mrs. Barbara Faga.
The tickets will go on sale February 12 at 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon fa the diurch's sodal hall. They wUI sell for S6.00 for aduhs, $3.00 for chUdren under 12.
Watch this paper for details of the show which the choir Is diligently puttfag together for a fun-filled evenfag of home- cooked food and home-town talent.
CONQREQATIONAL HANDBEU CHOIR
Sunday, February 6th, the Congregatkmal Churcfa of Hunt¬ ley will have a dedicatkin service for their 5 odave set of handbdis. The first set of handbella was a three odave set ordered fa 1964 from the White Chapel Foundry of England. The Hi^ Sdiool choir stared several fund ralsfag projeds to pay for them: bake sales, ice cream sodala, and candy sales, fa the Spring of 1965, the diolr presented the first "Hobo Show" to raise more money for the handbells. The first show had a cast of seven students and an audience of about 75 people. When the bells arrived fa 1966 the choir had eamed enough money to cover their oost.
Addittonal bells were added fa 1970, 1972, 1974 and 1978 and new tables and li^ts were all provided by the choir. Pecember. J982 an addhkmal odave was'added. These bells were given by' the aduh dioir and n- memorials for Les Oglesby, Griice Buckley, Walter Carroll, Ruth Brill, Freid* E. Fyfe. Helen Wasserstrass, Shlg Fujimoto, Mazie Blott, Bmer Lamz, Charles Spangard, Opal M. Sherfield, Harold Brill, Mabel Criditon. and Earie B. Johnson.

Last Sunday, the Huntley Cub Scouta held their annual Pfaewood Derby at the 1st Congregational Churdi. The aodal ball was pa(±ed with scouts and spedators cheering eacfa race. The winners were:

On Sunday, January 16th the Hi^ Sdiool choir aecepted an favitatkm from Mr. Scfaomer to perform at the Salem Methodist Churdi fa Barrington. Those attendfag were Larry and Betsey Warrington, Kathy MUler, Debbie Woodruff, Kim ZUler, Beth Lemon, Dale Anderson, Soott Storms, Steve Sundeen, Forrest Sodergren. Joan Lemon and Henry A Helen Marlowe.

On Thursday, January 27th a birthday party for Henry Brackman wUl be held at the Senur Chizen's Meet A Eat Program.
