MARLOWES ATTEND WAYNE IFEED SEMINAR
VALENTINE DANCE FEB. 11
The Huntley Athletic Boosters are sponsoring a Valentioe dance at the Legion on Feb. 11.
Social hour will be from 6:30 - 7:30 with a dinner and dance following. Contact Carolyn Schachtner or any Booster for ticket information.
In their last meeting the
Boosters voted to include the Jr. High Athletic program into the club. We will need the help and
attendance at meetings of the Jr. High parents. So far this year the Boosters have helped to ptirchase training equipment for the foot¬ ball and basJcetball teams. We have also taken the teams out for dinner. We have done this I throughout SO-SO raffles and bake
sales. We hope to be able to extend this help to the Jr. High boys and girls but we will need the support of the Jr. High i parents to aid in raising the funds needed.
Parents of girls, as well as boys, are welcom^. The nezt meeting will be Jan. 30th at 7;30 in the High School Library. Please try to attend.

VOLLEYBALL
TOURNAMENT
Only the best feelings of good sportsmanship, brotherhood and desire to win emonated from the Huntley High School Gym last Saturday, Feb. 4th, as the 1st Annual Huntley Volleyball Tour¬ nament got underway. Those playing on the 20 teams paraded behind their banners around the packed gym to the tune of "Rocky". All were in unique uniforms, and some had enthusi¬ astic followings and displays of support.
The teams played to an exciting final game, which, unlike the eliminating rounds of 10 minute timed games, was played to a regulation 21-point finish.
The Dairy Mart Coneheads and the Credit Union Dangling Parti¬ ciples played the title game, with the Credit Union becoming the 1st place Huntley Champions in volleyball.
The Loudest Cheering Section Award was won by the Fire Dept. "Flames" who had an unusually large following in attendance.
After the final game, Mr. Roliert Peterson was introduced to the audience and the 3-ft. high Loving Cup Trophies were award¬ ed to the 3 winning teams by Hi. Bud Weber, emcee for the evening.
