FFA Breakfast
Huntley Chapter of the FFA held their Annual Businessman's Breakfast and it was a huge success. Many area residents came to enjoy Pancakes, Eggs, Sausage, Milk, Rolls, Orange Juice and Coffee. The breakfast was prepared by members of the FFA. Don't forget THE FFA SLAVE SALE will be held March 29th at 7:30.
Youth Bingo
The Huntley Lioness Qub is planning a Youth Bingo during spring break, h will be held Thursday, March 29th. firom 1 to 3 at the Huntley American Legion.
The Lioness have purchased many new prizes and hope to have a good attendance.
There will be refreshments served and lots of fun. Donation -$1.00.
Mark your calendar fbr March 29th and plan to oome and play Bingo. Anyone under the age of 18 is allowed to play that day. Mothers welcome to come and help the younger children.
Lioness Plan for Miss Huntley Pageant
Once again it is time for preparations for the Miss Huntley Pageant, and the Huntley lioness Gub is hard at work getting all the details together.
This is the fourth year the Lioness Gub has sponsored the contest. Before that it was a project of the Lions.
In 1980 there were 12 contestants, since, participation has dropp^, even tbou^ we still have many lovely young ladies in Huntley. The winner of the Miss Huntley Conteat will go on to represent Huntley in the McHenry County Queen Conteat. Both Pageants are fun filled eventa and worth remem¬ bering. May Babies Expanding
Every year in May for fifteen years there has been a May Babies' Dance. People who were born in May each contributed SIO and planned a free dance with refreshments so they could invite everyone to help them celebrate. This year the May Babies have invited the December babies to join them to plan their annual dance. They selected December because many December birthdays are not celebrated because of the Christmas Holidays. If any May Baby or December Baby would like to help with this May 19th dance please call 669-5437 or 669-3191.
Each person must contribute SIO to help pay for the music and refreshments. The public is invited to a free night out to help the birthday people cele¬ brate.
HandbeU Choir At Braceville
The Sunday A.M. Handbell Choir from the Congregational Church traveled to Braceville, IL to perform at the United Methodist Church Service. They played March m C and Break Thou The Bread of Life. Larry Warrington played the solo I Believe on tbe handbeUs.
The choir spent Saturday evening at the Holidome in Bradley and visited FennUab on Sunday. Members of tke yofth choir are Chad Warrington, Kevin Frihart, Soott Storms, David Thackwray, Dale Ander¬ son, Cbdy Doden. Owen Ziller, Dawn Sodergran, Kim Slier aad Susie SchuUx. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Wariinton and dauber SaUy and Mrs. Henry Mariowe acoompaided the dtoit.

Little League Just Around The Comer
Spring is here, green grass (under the snow) and warm sunny days to look foreward too 11 Soon its time to hang up the snow shovels (we hope) and get out the bat, mitts and baseballs.
Little League is looking for volumeers. h seems there is always a good turn out of boys, now we also need some dads to help out too. Root Beer & Pretzel Concert
The Hoot Beer St Pretzel Concert was held at the Grade School Gym. Marcfa 13. and again, Mr. Glowacz and Ms. Tirk outdid themselves in preparing their students for this event. For those who don't know. The Root Beer & Pretzel Concert is an event where the audience, seated at tables are served with glasses of not beer and baskets of pretzels whUe being entertained by Huntley's finest vocalists and musicians from both the Jr St Sr High Schools. It indeed was an evening to remember.
The High School Band per¬ formed highlights from "Came¬ lot", "My Fair Udy" and "Sound of Music."
The Jr. High Chorus; "My Lord", "Flash Dance", "She Wore A Yellow Ribbon" and "Rising Out of My Soul."
Giris Ensemble; "Everybody Rejoice".
The Jr. High Band; "March¬ ing to Pretoria", "Jazz in Mellow Mood", "Angela", "Mercy. Mercy. Mercy" and "Swiag'n Mistar Moon."
The High Scbool Choir; "Up Where We Belong". "AU the Gold in California" with soloist, Tim Carr. "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy", "Elvira" with Cris Manley, Dave Erath and Rick Gavey.
