Last Thursday, February I9th, the Huntley Jets participated in the 3rdAnnuaniinwr Engineering! |Tecfankal Society Invitational Contest at MCC taking 2nd Place in theitf division. They competed in( Class A (tmder 1500 students) whh Alden-Hebron. Johnsburg, Marengo, Marion Central and Rkhmoad^Bwton. Marion took 1st place.
The Madlewti ^tnnpeted in six silb>Kt aceas, which were biolegy. nuChaamtics, engfaieering grtfUaa, ahemWtry, physics and Engllah.
Taking honors in Chemistry were Jafaa Spean. 1 st Place and Dave BaM. 2nd Place.

SCHOOLBOARD MEETING
The regular meeting of the Board of Education of School District #158. Huntley Consoli¬ dated Schools, Huntley, Illinois, was held in the High School building on February 17,1981 at 7:30 p.m. This being the rescheduled meeting of Feb¬ ruary 10,1981.
The President called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Upon roll call the following members answered present: Mrs. Basel, Mrs. Lvingston. Mr. Spears, Mr. Reid, Mr. Pupich, Mr. Zirk Absent: Mr. Grismer
All present joined in the Pledge to the Flag.
Mr. Pupich moved Mrs. Basel 2nd to approve thc minutes of the Janaury 29th meeting as written. The motion carried 6 yeas and 0 nays.
Northern Illinois Business Service representative, Mr. Ray Garver conducted a review with recommendations of the Dis¬ trict's insurance program.
Mr. Grismer joined the meeting st 8:05 p.m.
Mrs. Basel moved Mr. Reid 2nd to approve payment of the monthly bills. Education, S2I.492.3I: OBM $23,017.69: Transportation S4,988.SS. The motion carried with 7 yeas and 0 nays.
Mr. Reid moved Mr. Pupich 2nd to reimburse Imprest Fund for total eipenditures tbe sum of $1,349.84. The motion carried with 7 yeas and 0 nays.
Mrs. Basel moved Mr. Pupich 2nd to approve the resignation of Patfkia Broederdorf, effect¬
ive January 26, 1981. The motion carried 7 yeas and 0 nays.
Mr. Pupich moved Mr. Spears 2nd to approve a Disability Leave for Genevieve Coleman effective 1981-82 school year. Motion carried 7 yeas and 0 nays.
Mr. Pupich moved Mrs. Basel 2nd to approve purchase of folders for new student files, total cost not to exceed $314.00. The motion carried 7 yeas and 0 nays.
Mr. Pupich moved Mr. Reid 2nd to change the March 12 meeting tp March 10. Mr. Pupich amended the motion to provide dinner Mr. Grismer 2nd Vote on the amendment was yeas by Pupich and Grismer; Nays by Basel, Spears, Reid, Zirk and Livingston. The Amendment failed. The vote on the motion was 6 yeas and 1 nay cast by Mrs. Basel. The Motion carried.
The Board went into Ezecu¬ tive Session at 9:00 p.m. to discuss Personnel.
Came out of Executive Session at 1:48 A.M.

HUNTLEY AMERICAN LEGION BIRTHDAY DINNER MARCH 7th
Legionnaires of Huntley American Legion Post #673 will join with millions of their fellow members in a globe-spanning celebration of the Legion's 62nd Birthday during March, Post Commander Dennis Rudsinski announced today. Here in Huntley, the 62nd anniversary will be highlighted with special festivities, including a dinner- dance on Saturday. March 7th.
Dinner will be served starting at 7:30 P.M. followed by a program including the awarding of membership pins by the American Legion and Huntley Unit of the American Legion Auailiary. 'George Heinrich, Senior Vice Commander of the llth District, fto|n Hinsdale will be the speaker. Dancing will follow the ptogram. Please call the Hnntley American Legion Post, 669-8485 for reservations.

The Huntley Lion's Oub is holding their fourth Annual St. Patrick's Dinner and Dance on March Mth at the Huntley American Legion. Dinner will be served from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and the dance will run from 9:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m.
