HOMECOMING PARADE

The cars flashed their red and blue lights. The sirens blared as the Huntley Homecoming Parade began. Leading off was Chief Ptal. in the Huntley Squad and Chief Phil Freund and his wife. Charlotte in a Fire vehicle. A number ot Fire Trucks followed the leaders wit' waterflght chairman. Bob Kunde. in onc of tlicin.
The Redskin Indian started the high school section of the parad< Members of the football teams and Coaches Joe Manning and Larr Kahl waved to the crowds. Cheerleaders lead the crowd into virtor cheers for thcir team. An antique car from Freund Equipment w;i next driven b\ Jack Freund.
At last, the floats built and designed by each class arrived. Th' Freshman float depicting a lootball player being l.anged (who wa^ none other that Scott O'Brien to our suprise) read "Put the Moose in a Noose'". The Sophomore float "The Heart will Beat No More" had a large heart and Indian on it. Next came the Color Guard and Band who played "Anchors Aweigh."
The Junior award winning float was a train with the saying "wc Know We Can..we Know We Can." The final float was the Seniors with a casket containing a football player reading, "Knock Em Dead. "
The Homecoming Court and Royalty waved to the crowds as they passed by. Followed by floats saying "Gonna Make Chickens ofthe Ramblers" and "We'll Mow Em Down" by tc Booster club. High Schoolers on tractors threw candy to the waiting children. The Jones Family drove the parade route on a pony can. The Rescut Squad brought up the rear of the parade.
FLOAT WINNERS Ist Place Junior Class 2nd Place Sophomore Class 3rd Place Freshman Class 4th Place Senior Class The Booster floats received Honorable Mention.
HOMECOMING KING & QUEEN Last Saturday night at the Homecoming Dance the Homccomint. King and Queen were chosen. They are Dacia Bunt and Gar- Schultze. Last Saturday. Ihc Huntley Redskins Varsity Team played Mooseheart for their Homecoming The Color Guard marched onto the field carrying the flags. The band piayed the "Star Spangled Banner".
The game began with the Redskins receiving the ball. Mark Larosa kicked ofl for the Ramblers while Steve Dovle picked up the ball at the IS. Jim Goehl went to the 20. The Rambers got the ball as Huniley didn't gain any yardage. The Ramblers attempted to punt bill lo no av.iil. Huntley again had the ball on the 20. Adam . Brunschon went to the 32 on a pass from /.orica to Doyle to Brunchon. Jim Goehl made fhe 1st down. Dan Schaller ran .to fhe 46
