Mr. Heavey, 33, his wife. Donna and their 3 children - Timothy, 7, Jill, 5, and Patrick, 3 months have resided in Huntley for several years. His occupation is a firefighter and Paramedic with the DesPlaines Fire Department for the last ten years. He attended the University of Illinois, Chicago Circle Campus. As to his reason for running fbr the School Board he states that he wants to make a contribution to the Educational System and believes that quality education can be maintained only by parents taking an active interest. My name is Cbarles T. (Terry) O'Brien and 1 am a candidate for 'the opening on the School Board of District #158. Pat, my wife, and my three daughters, Amy, Cindy and Laura and 1 have lived io the Huntley area for a little over three years. My daughters attend the Huntley grade school currently. It is for that reason 1 am pursuing the School Board position and hope to aid in improving the education ofall the children in Huntley. Previously 1 have served on a Parish Board for a four year period, the last year 1 was elected President of that Board. My occupation has been for the past twelve years, a semiconductor salesman. I am currently employed by a major semiconductor manufacturer. I have attended Triton College and several technical and managerial schools. 1 look forward to the challenge of serving on the School Board of District 158 and hope the residents of District 158 will support my candidacy on election day. Serving will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A Holiday Craft Bazaar and Bake sale will run ftom 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Please call 312-669-5711 for tickets or special reservations. ST. MARY'S CRAFT BAZAAR Earn extra Christmas money, display and sell your crafta at the Huntley St. Mary's Church Craft Bazaar on November 14, 1981. The Craft show, bake sale and ra£De will be held from 10 am to 4 pm. Booth space is available at SIO.OO for a regular booth and $5.00 for a half booth (card table size). All tablea and chairs will be fumiahed. To reserve space, phone 669-5747, 669-5840 or 669-5180. HAUOWEEN SAFETY RULES To coordinate HaUoween activities of the conununity and because of concem over the safety of children during Halloween, Chief Ptak is offering the following suggest¬ ions. (1) NEVER let small children go trick-or-treating alone. They should be accompanied by older children or ad<s. (2) Suggest that trick-or-treat rounds be confined to their own neighborhoods and to people they KNOW. (3) Request householders to give children factory wrapped or sealed treats only. Some may wish to give money in place of treats. No loose or uncovered candy, popcom, fruit or other goodies. (4) Urge children to wait until they get home to tast tbeir "Treats" so that patents can Continued on Page 2 Pictured above are members of the Huntley Lion's Club at their annual Pancake Breakfast held last Sunday, October 25 at the American Legion Home. Besides serving their delicious pancakes, they serve eggs, sausage and orange juice. This and the Chicken Barbeque are une of the clubs largest fund raisers. The Lioness Club also participated by holding a Craft Bazaar with goodies for Christmas.
