The Parkside Tap St. Patrick's Day Party was fllled to capacity.
The large crowd danced to a live band and sang an Irish song as the
.<Jiight progressed. Irishmen of all types and descents enjoyed the
Mrivolities. A number of them even sighted a Lephrucan before the

The regular meeting of tbe Huntiey Lkms Qub was called to order by President Rudsinski at the American Legion Home March 13, with 44 members and 3 guests attending. Lion Eddie Meagher led the group in singing "My WUd Irish Rose". "llpperary" and "Uttie Brown Jug" witii May Chesak accom¬ panist. The Pledge of Alle¬ giance was given and the Invocation was by Lion Del Borhart. Govemor Bob Ostrom, Deputy Dist. Gov. Fred Schuttie and Mr. QSaA Borhart were guests. Lion Del Borhart was honored as the announcement came that the committee had selected him for "Lion Of The Year". Lion Bud Weber was 'Master of Ceremonies fw the eventful "This Is Your Life", theme. lion Charles Ruth was helpful in developing the life history of his uncle. A plaque has been ordered and will be presented later.

LIONESS MEETING MARCH 28th
The Huntley Chapter of the Lionesses will be holding a meeting-on March 28th at the Legion Home at 7:30 p.m. Anyone wishing to join may attend. The ladies husbands do not have to be Lion members for the wives to join.
the Huntley Lioness Charter Night will be held on April 7th at thc Timbers Resturant in wood- stock starting at 6:30 P.M. Anyone wishing to attend may contact Carol Weirich for reser¬ vations.

Tailtwister activities were conducted by Lions Ed Hart¬ mann and Puil Mercer.
Mr. Richard Frick was taken into membership at the Direct¬ ors meeting. Adjournment came at 9:05 p.m. Next meeting is March 27th.

LEXIE BURFIELD CYSTIC FIBROSIS CHAIRMAN
Mrs. Lexie Burfield has been named the 1979 chairperson tk the Breath o/L Spring Bike-A- Thon to be held in Huntley, according to Steven L. Schweiger, President of the Northern Illinois Chapter, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
In accepting the poaition of chairperson, Mrs. Burfield ex¬ pressed her hopes tfaat many other residents of the area would volunteer tfaeir time and talents to tfab wortfawhik pto¬ ject.
