Regional Science Fair Winners
Sherri Ottiey aqd Todd Manke were first place wiimers at the District Sdence fair held Saturday April 7th at DeKalb, IL.
Sherri's science project was on plant growth onder different colors of cellophane. Todd's science project w«s on how different color shingles effect buUding heat.
Sherri and Todd will both compete in the State Science Pair in Champaign on May Sth.
Good Luck to both of you.
Boy Scout Paper Drive
The Hunttey Boy Scout's annual Paper Drive will be held this coming Saturday, April 14. If you'U put your papers at thfe end of the driveway the Boy Scouts WiU tak« care of them from there.

ViUage Board Minutes
The AprU 5, 1984 Regular Meeting was held on Thursday evening in tfae Board Room oif the VUlage HaU and brought to order at 8:00 pm by President Enstrom.
Present for this meeting were: President EiUtroA, Trus¬ tees Wicke, Dhamer, Ahrens, Brown, Berlin and Mercer, as well as ViUage Engineer Schwe¬ gel, AttortSey Szura, P(4ice Chief Roasi and members of the PubUc Works Department.
The minutes of the March, 1984 Regular Meeting were read and there being no additions nor corrections they stood approved as presented.
At this tim« tbe fliuuicial reports Were examined by the Board whereupon a motion was made by Trustee Mercer, seconded by Trustee Berlin, to approve the Treasurer's Report as presented and upon roU call, aU trustees voted aye, and the motion carried.
The bUls for the current month's expenditures were the nezt order of business and after a revkw t^ wnse, a tnoflon was made by I'rustee Kilercer, seconded by Trustee Wicke, to approve the payment of said bUls and upon roll call, aU trustees voted aye, the motion carried and the Clerk was instructed to pay same. A listing of these biUs was approved is attached hereto.
Trustee Ahrens informed the Board that he had advised the Treasurer that the double entry boctteeping system would not go into effect at this tim«.
President Enstrom informed the Board that Rose's FamUy Restaurant, Inc. had applied for a transfer for the liquor license which had been issued to Sam's FamUy Restaurant, noting that the firm has been purchased by Renuiji Useni, Rose's FamUy Restaurant, Inc. A check for S50.00 accompanied the applica¬ tion and th^ President aiihdsed trustees that aU appeared to be in order. A motion was made by Trustee Mercer, seconded by Trustee Ahrens, to approve of this transfer, which would be in effect through AprU 30, 1984. Upon roU caU, aU trustees voted aye and the motion carried.
Next, a letter dated March 9, 1984, was read fttnn Dean Foods Company, Mr. John B. Petti¬ grew, in which they requested that the VUlage post certain streets aUowing vehicles with 80,000 Ib. loads accesa to their terminal and plant fot loading and unloading. After discussion Continued on page 2

The Regular meeting of the Board of Education of School District #158, Hunttey ConsoU- dated Schools, Hunttey, DUnois was held in the High School BuUding on March 15, 1984 at 7:30 pm.
In the absence of the President the meeting was caUed to order by the Secretary at 7:30 pm. Upon roU caU the foUowing members anawered present: Mrs. Basel, Mrs. Sduult, Mr. Freeberg. and Mr. liA. Absent Mr. O'Brien, Mr. Heavey, and Mr. Pupich.
AU present Joined in the Pledge to the Flag.
1. Mrs. Baael moved Mrs. Schadt 2nd to nominate Mr. Freeberg aa President Pro-Tem. Nominations cloaed. 4 yeas - 0 nays. Motion carried.
2. Mrs. Schadt moved Mrs. Basel 2nd to approve the minutes of the March 1 Special Meeting aa written. 4 yeas - 0 nays. Motion carried.
3. Mrs. Baael moved Mrs. Schadt 2nd to approve the confidential minutes of the March 1 Executive aeaaion as written. 4 yeas - 0 nays. Motton carried.
4. Mrs. Donna Heavey, Preai¬ dent oT ttie PTO addressed the Board concerning an expanded Patch tbe Pony safety (cam¬ paign.
5. Mr. Booth, Mr. Skomer and members of the Reading Articu- latton Team presented a review of the K-12 Reading and literature Program, with a report on the proceaa, the equation and recommenda¬ tions, projections for tahut needs.
