Village Board Minutes
SPECIAL MEETING HELD FOR THE PURPOSE OF A PUBLIC HEARING OF THE
FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING BUDGET OF THE
VILLAGE OF HUNTLEY The first Public Hearing was held May 2, 1985 at 7:30 pm by the VUlage Board of Trustees for budgeting the Federal Revenue Sharing Funds which are for the 1985-1986 Appropriation.
Present were President En¬ strom, Trustees Berlin, Brown, Wicke, Ahrens, Dhamer and Mercer.
President Enstrom called the meeting to order and then asked if anyone was present who wished to request Federal Revenue Sharing Funds. There were none. He asked Trustee Dhamer for the requests by letter which were: McHenry County Historical Society $600.00
Easter Seal Sodety $230.00 President Enstom noted that the final amount is not yet known but an estimate would be $25,000.00. He held the meeting open until 7:55 pm and there being no more requests, a motion was made by Trustee Berlin, seconded by Trustee Wicke, to adjoum this Public Hearing and upon roll call, it
I was brought to a close. I President Enstrom annoimc- ed the second and final hearing will be held at the June Regular Board Meeting night, June 6th, at 7:30 pm.

REGULAR MEETING OF THE
VILLAGE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES
The Regular Meeting of the Village Board of Trustees of the VUlage of Huntley was brought to order by President Enstrom at 8:00 pm in the Board Room of the Village Hall.
Present were President Enstrom, Trustees Wicke, Berlin, Ahrens, Browa, Dhaaier and Mercer, as weU as BuUding Inspector Radloff, members of the Police Department and Public Works Department. Also attending were Attomey Szura, Village Engineer Schwegel and ESDA Director Russ.
President Enstrom called the meeting to order and asked for action of the Regular Meeting minutes of AprU 4th. There being no additions nor correc¬ tions they stood approved as presented. The President asked the Oerk to read the minutes of the Canvass of the AprU 2 Election which meeting was held April 4, 1985. They also stood approved as read. The Annual Meeting minutes of AprU 23, 1985 were presented. Tmstee Wicke asked that a correction be made on the "1985-1986 Benefit Summary for Employees". The "Vaca¬ tion" item should read:...New Employees hired 5/1/85 wUl receive one week after his first year anniversary date; two weeks after two years employ¬ ment per calendar year and three weeks after five years (i.e. calendar year) with the third week being at the discretion of the village." The minutes of this Annual Meeting then stood approved as corrected.
The biUs for the current month expenses were examined and found to be in order by a motion to approve same by Trastee Mercer, seconded by Trastee Berlin. Upon roU caU, aU trastees voted aye and the motion carried. The Clerk was instracted to make payment of these invoices.
The financial reports for year end were passed out to each member and therafter a motion was made by Trastee Mercer, seconded by Trastee Brown, to approve the Treasurer's Report
and upon roU call, all trastees voted eye and the motion carried.
President th«n called David Oldham to the Board table to inform the Board and village that he and the VUlage had indeed won the 1984-1985 Qass 3 nomination and trophy of Plant of the Year by the Illinois Association of Water PoUution Control Operators and brought the "traveling" trophy to the Board. The Board publicly congratulated Mr. Oldham for his efforts in obtaining this honor.
President Enstom then asked if any other old business was to come before the "old" Board, and there being none, he gave his fareweU message and also thanked Paul Mercer and bid him farewell also. He then stated there would be a five-minute recess before the ' 'new'' Board took charge.
The meeting then resumed and  the   Gerk   proceeded  to swear  in  the   foUowing   new Board members, being: James Dhamer President

(sworn in by Atty Szura and the officers then took their places at the Board table)
President Dhamer gave a message of thanks to VUlage President Enstrom.
He announced that the first order of business was the monies to be given to LEAC for the transcripts on the LandfiU hearings. He stated that a Resolution had been made to provide $1000.00 for this purpose. It was drawn to his attentbn that no action of this kind had been made previously and the Clerk read the minutes pertaining to the motion by Trastee Ahrens in this regard.. Continued on Page 2
Clean-Up Days In Huntley
It was announced at the VUlage Board Meeting last Thursday that the VUlage wUl again have "Qean-up Days" in Huntley. This year the dump¬ sters will be parked at the Public Works BuUding on Donald Drive.

To Be Flushed
It has been announced that the hydrants in Huntley wiU be flushed May 14th and 15th.
The Public Works Depart¬ ment apologizes in advance for any inconvience imposed on Huntley residents.
HandbeU Concert
May 19th
The Handbell Choirs of the Huntley Congregational Church wUl give a concert Sundsy, May 19th at 7:00 pm in the church sanctuary. Four handbeU choirs under the direction of Helen Marlowe wUl perform on a set of 61 English HandbeUs. Kendall Weber of WUmette vdU retum again this year and play several selections on her harp.
Refi^shments wiU be served and a free wUl offering will be taken. Plan now to attend this outstanding concert.
