Varsity Football
The 1988 Huntley Football Season opened last Saturday, Sept. 3, against Galva. Even though the Redskins lost 20-14, they gave the audience an exciting game. At half- time, Galva lead 12-0 but Huntley came back strong and fighting. Huntley scored its first touch down in two years when Mike Lekics scored on an
11 yard run. The entire team and coaches stormed the end zone, jumping and cheering. Though they received a penalty for it everyone felt it was worth it. The crowd continued to yell as they carried the ball across for another two points. Another touchdown on a long run in the fourth quarter gave
Huntley another six points. An offensive paaa interference penalty, with 1:30 left in the game, cost the Redskins a chance to tie the score.
Volleyball
