REDtSTRICTINQ MEETING
A meeting of the McHenry County Legislative Committee was held at the McHenry County Courthouse. The pur¬ pose of tbe meeting in part was to decide the re-districting of McHenry County. Two main redistricting proposals were made. One would have divided McHenry County into three, districts. The other would have! divided McHenry County into siz districts.
The purpose of the redistrict¬ ing is to comply with the federal guidelines demanding repre¬ sentation on a one man - one vote basis. The decision made by the County Board will be binding for the nezt ten years.
Prior to the meeting, tbe State Attorney Floro was asked if Grafton and Algonquin could remain together intact as one district. Mr. Floro stated, "No, that io bis opinioa this would not comply with the Federal Continued on Page 9

The plaque was awarded at the District IJ Convention on April 3rd for the Best Club in the Foz Valley Region of IJ. Last year, Huntley was named the top club in tbe Eiistrict.
