SANTA COMES TO HUNTLEY

Lsst Friday night, the Redskin Varsity Basketbalh team played GetKMi Kingston in a sensational game. Leading the Redskins in scoring were Joe Zorica and Jim Goehl, who both played a terrific game. Also scoring to bring the Skins to victcwy were Joe Gow, Dave Livingston, Dave Sesver, Soott Neperman, Jim Williams, and Dave Schachtner. Joe Zorica, Jim Goehl and Dave Seaver were outstanding in rebounding. The game was decided by a basket made by Joe Zorica with 5 seconds left in the 4th Quarter. Fans and parent were on their feet for much ofthe 4th. cheering the wildly for the team.
The game began with Genoa taking an early 2-0 lead but Scott Neperman made short work of that evening up the game and Joe Gow moved the Skfais ahead. Jim Goehl stole the ball but Genoa took it back and scored. Lindsey Rolston moved Genoa ahead but Gow on a downcourt run ev^ed it up. Joe Gow again scored bringing the score to 8-^ but Ken North evened it up. Dave Livingston Utterly ran circles around two Genoa players on a Zorica save but Genoa got the ball and went ahead again. Zorica made a terrific save. Rolston scored as did Wylde to move Genoa ah^ad 14-8. Neperman added 2 pts. but Rolston came back with 3. Zorica put the ball in while North added 2 pts. for the 19-12 score.
The 2nd Quarter began with Dave Schactner pulling the Skin score up by 2 pts. North came back with another basket. Zorica moved the score to 23-15 on a free throw. Wylde, mathey and Wylde each scored for 4 pts. Zorica made another 2 but North scored for 31-17. Dave Seaver moved the score up to 31-19. Genoa's Quinn made a basket while Zorica added 2. Rolston scored and Seaver moved Huntley to 35-23. North and Rolston added 4 pts. Jim Goehl stole the ball while Seaver scored. This time Zorica stole but Rolston
STOCKING DRAWING
This Saturday the Huntley Supermarket will hold their annual Christmas Stocking drawing. The 8 ft. sto<±ing is fllled with toys and will be awarded to a lucky child at noon on Saturday.

aturday, Santa Clans came to Huntley escorted by Paol Mercer driving his jeep since Ssata had no snow to btad on. Although with all his extra padding the bumps shouldn't bother him. The Snow Prince and Princesses were crowned. Tbey are Princess Kim Strissel and Prince Brad BaU. Despite the ciiilly blustery day, the diildren were excited as they awaited SanU's arrival. Following the crowning, the group went to the Congregational Church Sodal Hall for refreshments and a puppet show and of course, to talk to SanU. SanU sat the little ones emmk knee and asked them all about themseivea and what tfaey wsntodvi^ Christmas. As shrays the diildren loved tobe with hhn.
Esch child slso got csndy. This snnusl event is spoasoted by dw, SanU's Fund Committee. Dorothy SduUer aad Htacy Grimes of thst committee were on hand to help Saata.
