Fig Roast In Elgin For The Love Of Angle
Chuck's Tap (the old Dutch Inn) is holding a Pig Roast this Saturday August 10th with the proceeds to go for Angie's Liver Transplant.
The day's festivities will start at 12 noon and run til Who ^l^j^ws WhenI! I The donation of ^^ per person will get you Pork, sweet com, potato salad, baked beans, beer and entertainment.
Reservations are not required but you may obtain one by calling Chuck's Tap at 888-9560.

The regular meeting of the Huntley Village Board of Trustees was held on August 1, 1985, at 8 pm in the Village Hall. Attending were Trustees Berlin, Brown, Ahrens, Russ, Wicke, and Zimmerman, Presi¬ dent Dhamer, ViUage Attomey Szura, and ViUage Engineer Schwegel. After the meeting was cidled to order, minutes of board meetings held on July 3 and July 18 were accepted as presented. Financial reports were approved on a motion by Wicke, seconded by Berlin, unanimous. Mr. Wicke moved, Berlin seconded to approve the month's biUs for payment (unanimous). A motion by Berlin, seconded by Russ to reimburse Trastee Ahrens the amount of $20.00 for purchases made for the viUage was carried by roU caU vote-Berlin aye. Brown aye, Ahrens pass, Russ aye, Wicke aye, Zimmerman aye. A biU from Bakley Constraction in the amount of $147.50 was held for nsore information. The board approv¬ ed payment of biUs from Autotrol and Harms Grain Equipment which had been held from last month (.4hreas moved, Brown seconded, unanimous.)
Mr. Teny Aavang spoke to the board about the McHenry County Economic Development Committee's study of the possible location of an airport in the county. Two sites near Huntley are under considera¬ tion. A public meeting wiU be held on August 14 at 7:00 pm in the McHenry County CoUege cafeteria to hear pubUc input concerning the choice of a site.- After this meeting, the advisory council and engineers wiU select one site and submit airport plans to state and federal agencies for approval. If approved, the airport proposal would then be voted on by the McHenry County Board. The proposed airport is planned for
busbess and general aviation with a 5500 ft. runway on about 720 acres. Trustees expressed the concem that as the project wUl be heabUy federaUy funded, this area could at some time be compeUed to accept more frei^t traffic, perhaps diverted from O'Hare airport.
Mr. K.P. Bakley and Mr. David Newkiric sought board approval for Bakley's lltfa Addition. Mr. Newkiric said that after communication with Mr. Schwegel, the previous plat had been changed to reduce the number of driveways entering Algonquin Rd. from adjacent lots. Mr. Ron Zirk told the board that the planning commission had approved the previous plat conditional to the engineer's acceptance. The planning com. had not seen this final plat with its dianges. Zimmerman mov¬ ed, Brown seconded that final lltfa addition plats, as cfaanged, go bac^ to tfae planning com. for tfaeir reccommendation (unani¬ mous).
Mr. Larry Smltfa introduced several representatives of Dean iFood Company. Mr. BUl Fischer Wd the board tfaat anticipating long term service of «tl!ss! Jewel Food Stores, Dean Fqods needs to improve the Hun|ley Plant. They wish to finance improve¬ ments with industri|d revenue bonds and requestol that the viUage board pass » S5 miUion inducement resolution. Mr. Jerry Wren and Mr. Larry Basel explained the changes to be I made to tfae Huntley dairy-a larger cooler and warefaouse, loading docks, more efficient disposal treatment, and larger parking area. In answer to Mr. Wicke's question, Mr. Basel said tfaat sewage output faad increased with plant production, but that a fine effidency ratio had been maintained. Registration for Huntiey Nursery School
The Huntley Nursery Scfaool wUl be resuming classes the Wednesday after Labor Day, on September 4tfa.
Sessions wiU run two momings per week, on Monday and Wednesday. If tfae enroUment is large enougfa a second session wUl be added on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
This year tfae Nursery School wiU be taught by Connie Lombard.
