On Friday, Noveniber 26th the Huntley Lioness Club is having a Holiday Playday for young people under 18 at the American Legion Home from 1-3 p.m. There will be games, prizes and refreshments. The cost is $1.00 per person. A fun day for the youngsters!
PENGUIN CHRISTMAS PARTY

LIONESS CLUB MEETING
Twenty members and two guest attended the Lioness Awards dinner Wednesday evening, November 17. A delidous beef dinner was served by the Legion Auxiliary. Our guests, Dennis Rudsinski, Lion Continued on Page 2
Last Tuesday, November 16th, the Fall Sports Banquet was held at the Grade School Gym. Dr. Robert Bunt welcomed everyone and said that there would be a lot of recognizing to do that night. He said that the football season was good and that we had played some tough larger teams. He praised the volleyball team who took 1st place in sectionals. He thanked the Boosters Gub, Lbns Oub and Joe Manning fortheir support. Glen Delaney gave the Invocation.
Following the ham and pot luck dinner, Coach James Tichy gave out the F-S Volleyball awards to:
Lisa Albredit, Mandi Barton, Marci Brandwein, Cindy Doden, Jackie Freund, Phyllis Keams, Cheryl Marsh, Beth Martin, Jennifer Massett, Kristin Ostrander, Debbie Wiesneth, Nicole Zemuiek.
Receiving the Most Improved Player was Lisa Albrecht. Phyllis Keams was voted the Most Valuable Player.
Joyce Radostits, Varsity Volleyball Coach, reported that her team ad an 8-4 conference record and a lS-8 overall record. She thanked jthe parents, Mr. Tichy and managers, Sandy Wiesneth and Andrew Shear. She gave awards to:
Carolyn Boettcher, Suzanne Emesti, Chris Grechis, Pam Jacos, Joann Jones, Andrea'Manning, Jill Niemeyer, Kristy Resh, Lori Seemann, Joni Shear and Pauline Ziller
The Most Valuable Player award was tied between Jill Niemeyer and Lori Seeman ( eam captain). The Most Improved Player was Joni Shear.
Coach Radostits announced All Conference winners Pam Jacobs, Jill Niemeyer and Lori Seemanm. Suzanne Emesti was also nominated to the Ail Conference Honors with a record of $125 pts. but becauseof a shortage in openings she was not named. A special award was given to JV Volleyball player, Phyllis Kearas, who playe don the Regional Team. Each girl received a mini-plaque reading "Regional Champions 1982". Miss Radostits presented High School Principle, Jim Skomer, with two trophies from the Hiawatha Toumey and the Regional Championship.
Jim Skomer gave certificate to Managers Ken Basel, for 3 years of service, David Miller and Matt Manning for their hard work this season.
Coach Larry Kahl was introduced by Olen Delaney. He praised the JV team and said that all 23 players had greatly improved
