Traveling Team Finishes Season Undefeated!
On June 28th the team visited Maple Park and defeated them by a score of 19-2. Buckey Weiss was the winning pitcher with Gary Keesling and Tim Basel also taking the mound. Hitting stars were Gary Keesling 4-5 including a home run, Caleb Kittel 3-4 with a home run, Buckey Weiss with a double and triple and Keith Lessner with 2 hits. Also contributing hits were Tim Basel, Alan Cole and Ken LaFave.
On Tuesday, July 5, Huntley hosted Sugar Grove and defeated them by a score of 5-3. Buckey Weiss pitched the entire game aUowing 2 hits whUe striking out 17 batters. Caleb Kittel went 3-3 with a home run and Alan Cole delivered 2 hits. Others collecting hits were Gary Keesling, Keith Lessner and Derek CrabUl.
On Saturday, July 9th, Huntley again hosted Sugar Grove. Huntley defeated them by a score of 14-9. Leading the way with hits was Buckey Weiss 3-3 including 2 home runs, Gary Keesling 2-3 and Dave AUen 2-3. Keith Lessner and Don Farrell also collected hits. Buckey Weiss started the game and was relieved by Gary Keesling who was the winning pitcher.
Sunday, July 10th, Huntley played Elburn in the play-off championship game. Huntley came away with a 16-3 win to complete a perfect 11-0 season. Buckey Weiss had 4 doubles in 5 at bats, Gary Keesling 3-4, Derek CrabiU 2-3, Alan Cole 2-4 with a triple and Chad Cox with a triple. Others adding to the hit parade were Don Farrell, Dave Allen and Matt Biagioni. Buckey Weiss, Derek Crabill and Gary Keesling each pitched 2 innings.
During the year Huntley out-scored its opponents by a total of 170-40. Huntley should be very proud of this fine bunch of boys. They demonstrated excellent sportsmanship and baseball skills.

Huntley High School, Class of 1933 held their 55th reunion last weekend. After a luncheon at the Union American Legion, the group spent the rest of the afternoon reminiscing. A good time was had by all.

The Circus Came To Town!
To the delight of young and old alike, the Franzen Bros. Circus transformed the area behind the grade school into a wonderful scene of enchantment.
Pencils the Clown strolled through the streets of Huntley prior to the performance entertaining the young as well as the young at heart.
The show under the big top was, of course, the big attraction with elephants, clowns, jugglers, and death-defying performances by aerial artists. The dancing horse, precision prancing ponies, camels, and a llama joined the African lions and Bengal Tigers in thir performances

Jr. High Honors
Fourth quarter honors have recently been announced at Huntley Grade School. In addition to announcing the Honor Roll, the following awards have also been presented.
Most Improved Students: 6th Grade - Brad Young 7th Grade - Meryl Gustafson Sth Grade - Heather Barrientos
Class with Highest Grade Point Average: 6th Grade
Cleiss with Beat Attendance: 8th Grade
The names of these honorees will be engraved on plaques which will be on display in the Hall of Fame.

1.Registration wUl be held at Huntley High School on August 9 (for G.S.) and August 10 (for H.S.). At this time, registration forms will be completed, fees will be paid, and
physical/immunization forms due for K, Sth, and 9th graders.
