Cindy received $82 from friends and residents of Huntley who signed her page wishing Cindy "Good Luck" in her quest for the title of Miss McHenry County.

Rev Frederick R. Harm. Th D.. pasior of Trinity Lutherai Church. Huntley, Illinois, has accepted a call to serve as Professor of Systematic Theol¬ ogy at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri. He will be installed September 1 st.
The members of Trinity are planning a "Farewell" for Pastor and Mrs. Harm Sunday,
Ust Saturday, July 29th Huntley Merchants held their Sidewalk Day Sales This year many more people shopped for bargains than to years past until the rain began to fall which seemed to put a damper on the rest of the day.

ANNEXATION
AGREEMENT
The following is tenative Figures conceming the proposed Plote Industrial Park annexat¬ ion. The figures by Baxter & Woodman are $70,000 for an extension of required 10 inch water main southerly in Route 47 right of way to subject parcel and $165,00 for construction of new pumping station and exten¬ sion of a new force main/gravity sewer from the approximate center of the parcel north and east to the Village sewage treatment plant. Not included were figures for a treatment plant.

Schedule for the day: 9:00 a m. Sunday School 10:15 a.m. Worship Service ll:.30a.m. Pot-Luck 2:00-4:00 p.m. Open House
The proposed project as shown on a map at the Village Hall consists of Gross Industrial .^rea - 109.1 acres: Gross Commercial Area - 13.2 acres and Gross Residential Area - J 1.9 acres for a total Gross Project of 154.2 acres.
The Industrial Park is bound¬ ed by County Line Rd. and the Chicago Northwestern Railroad and is the largest section of land to be annexed.
The Commercial Area is bounded on the west by Route 47 and is 13.2 acres in size.
The Residential Area is bounded on the East by the Chicago & Northwestern Rail¬ road and is 31.9 acres in depth. Plans for the Residential area including 20 Single Family Continued on Page I
, PARK BOARD MINUTES
The regular meeting of the Huntley Park District was called to order at 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 26, 1978 Present were Commissioners Tures, Mackeben. Borhart and Ruth. Commissioner Deicke was absent. Also in attendance were Attornev Cowlin and Larry Kahl.
The minutes of the June 28. 1978 meeting were read. Mr. Ruth moved for approval, secoiidcd by Mr. Borhart. All Commissioners voted anv and the motion carried.
The Treasurer's rep>ii was given. Mr. Borhari made a motion to approve th- report seconded by Mr. Tures. All Commissioners voted aye and the motion carried.
Larry Kahl reported on ihc repairs and painting of the io^ cabin. The tractor and tracts repairs were also discussed.
The bills for the month wirt presented for payment. Mr. Mackebon made a motion to pay all bills, seconded bv Mr. Ruth. All Commissioner> voted aye and the motion carried.
The insurance program was studied, but more information is needed. Mr. Ruth asked the board to hold a special meeting before the expiration date to make final decisions The board agreed to have a special meeting on Wednesday. August lt>.
The Tax Levy Ordinance was prepared and will be presented at the next meeting tor approval
Future plans of the park were discussed. This included the purchase of evergreens and trees for fall planting.
There being no other busmess Mr. Mackebon made a motion to adjourn, seconded bv Mr. Tures. All aye votes . id the meeting was adjourned by 9:25 p.m.

PETITIONS RECEPTED BY SCHOOL BOARD
A total of 201 signatures were received on petitions from the citizens in the Huntley School District, requesting that the proposition to issue working cash fund bonds be submitted to the voters at a special election. The total number of signatures fell short of the number needed by about 100, there being in excess of 1400 registered voters and 20% required to successful¬ ly challenge the proposition.
PARK DISTRICT SPECIAL MEEHNQ
The Huntley Park District Board will have a special meeting to review the insurance coverage and premiums, and any and all other business. This meeting will start at 8 P.M. on Wednesday, August 16, in the park office building.
