Throughout the week a variety of health, wellness and safety-related topics will be presented to students in class and during several special assemblies. A Fun Run/Walk will once again be held after school for students in grades K-8. Additional after school activities are also being planned. The schedule for Wellness Week has not been fmalized at the time of this writing. A committee of teachers, nurses, parents and the school counselor is busy making plans, securing speakers and materials, etc. Any parent interested in serving on the planning committee, or helping with after school Wellness Week activities, please call the school office. A Wellness Week schedule will be sent home later in April. $200 Scholarship Offered The McHenry County Young Farmers are offering a $200 scholarship available to a McHenry County high school senior who is pursuing a college education in agri¬ culture. The purpose of the scholarship is to recognize a young agriculturist for outstanding efforts towards a successful agriculture- related career. The award is based on leadership, scholarship,,future goals, and demonstrated interest in agriculture. Applicants must complete a brief two page form available through their high school guidance counselor or contact Larry Harris at the McHenry county Farm Bureau building P.O. Box 351, Woodstock, Illinois 60098 (815-338- 1520). The award form must be turned in by April 15, 1988. Judging will be completed by a committee selected from the McHenry County Young Farmers. Easter Egg Hunt ^^ School receives Greenhouse Huntley Park District had their annual Easter egg hunt on April 2nd at Deieke Park. The Easter bunny was there to greet the younger children at the morning egg hunt, and stayed on at the park until early afternoon to cheer pn the older children who had their chance also at finding those well-hidden eggs. The afternoon egg hunt was cut short due to the rainy weather, but everyone had a great time just the same. The greenhouse has been a #1 priority of the school on their list of things "that would be nice to have". It is becoming a reality next to the High School Gym as members of the community donate time and talents to augment the purchase of the structure by the Cole Foundation. Bakley Construction dug the foundation, Huntley Ready Mix provided the cement, Dan Ziller provided labor and Tom Halat is the general contractor.
