VILLAQE BOARD MEETING
The December 4th, 1980 Regular Meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held in the Board Room of the Village Hall and brought to order by President Enstrom at 8:00 P.M.
Those present were: Presi¬ dent Enstrom, Trustees Dham- .er, Wicke, Lamb, Mercer, Rudsinski and Stroupe, as well as David Oldham, Sewer Treatment Plant Operator and later in the meeting, James Schultz, also a member of the Public Works Department.
The minutes of the November 6, 1980 meeting wete brought before the Trustees for approval and there being no additions nor corrections, they stood approved as presented.
he financial reports were then discussed. Trustee Stroupe made a motion that the Treasurer's Report be approv¬ ed, seconded by Trustee Lamb and upon roll call, all trustees voted aye and the motion carried.
Attorney Szura entered the meeting at this time.
Trustee Stroupe went on with the financial report discussion, noting that there were several outstanding unpaid invoioes. In regard to the Gottachalk past due invoice, Trustee Rudsinski advised he was handling this, as well as the Mel Johnson invoice. The Melahn past due invoices were to again carry one and one-half per cent interest per month as was being done with all past due invoices and that Baxter and Woodman are instructed not to answer any o
of the Melahn requests without first the consent ofthe village.,
So tbat registration for voting can be done at the village hall. Trustee Stroupe will obtain the necessary paperwork for Rober¬ ta Staab to act as registrar.
The bills for the current month were reviewed and a motion was made by Trustee Wicke, seconded by Trustee Rudsinski to approve of the payment of same, and upon roll call, all trustees voted aye, motion carried
Nezt, the Heinemann invoice in the amount of $16.84 was brought up and a motion was made by Trustee Wicke, seconded by Trustee Mercer, to approve of payment of this invoice and upon roll call, the vote was: Stroupe, aye; Wicke, aye; Rudsinski, pass; Dhamer, aye; Mercer, aye; and Lamb, aye. Motion carried.
In the same order of business, the Caldwell, Berner and Caldwell invoice was again brought before the Board. A motion was made by Trustee Rudsinski, seconded by Trustee Stroupe, to disregard this invoice in the amount of S3,000.00 and upon roll call, all trustees voted aye and the motion carried.
Village Engineer Schwegel then entered the meeting.

UON'S CLUB CHRISTMAS PARTY
Last Tuesday, December 2nd, the 2nd Annual Fall Athletic Banquet was held at the Grade School Gym. Dr. Bunt welcomed everyone saying that Huntley had had a winning season and recognized the coaches. Miss Sheppard, Mr. Kahl, Mr. Tichy. Mr. Manning and Mrs. Kreuger. Glen Delaney gave the Invocation.
Following a spaghetti supper, Jim Skomer spoke on the athletes, their coaches and achievements. Mrs. Kruger was the first coach to give awi^ds. She complimented the F-S team on a successful year in volleyball and introduced the squad who were:
Carolyn Boettcher, Judy Borhart, Sue EmeSti, Chris Grechis, Pam Jacobs, Joann Jones, Andrea Manning, Jilt Neimeyer, Julie Omberg, Robin Oraberg, Tyra Reid, Kristy Resh. Joni Shear, and Pauline Ziller. Continued on Page 10 & 11
Last Saturday night, December 6th, the Huntley Lion's Club held their annual Christmas Dinner at the American Legion Home with a large group of Lion's and Lionesses on hand. A Christmas dinner of Turkey and all the trimming was served. Santa dropped by to chat with Lion's. This year he stood. Wonder it that's because Eldie sat on hia lap laat year? Dance foliowed the meal.

The Congregational Church Christmaa Concert will be'held on Sunday. December Mth at 7:30 P.M. Presenting the special program will be the combined choirs, special guest soloists and the Bell Ringers. Everyone in the community is invited to attend this extra¬ ordinary evening of miuic.
JR. HIGH SKI TRIP
On Saturday. December 20, the Huntley Park District is sponsoring a ski trip to the Playboy Club Ski Area. The trip is for children in the sixth, seventh, and eighth grades. All skiers; beginners or advanced will take lessons and should bring a sack supper or money for the snack bar. LL fee includes the lesson, lift ticket, bus and supervision; LLR fee inclndes all these plus equip¬ ment rental. The bus will leave the Grade School parking lot at 3:30 p.m. and retum at approximately 10:00 p.m. The LL fee is $12.00; LLR fee is $15.00. Out of district fee is 25% more. HOUDAY MOVieS
The Huntley Patk District will be sponsoring "Holiday Movies" during Christmas vacation. Because we are able to share the movies with the Marengo Park District, we have been able to reduce the ' admission to $1.00 per person or $2.00 per family. So Moms k Dads if you have any tast minute shopping to do or would like to rest up before that big New Year's Eve party, bring the kids to the sack lunch room at the Huntley Grade School. On Monday. December 22 at 1:00 p.m. we will be showing "Hugo the Hippo" which is an animated fable about an exotic far-off land populated by strange creatures, killer veget¬ ables and heroic lovable animals with voices by Marie k Jimmy Osmond, Robert Morley. Paul Lynde and Burl Ives. The movies will be over at 2:30 p.m.
