The Huntley Memorial Oay Parade started with the traditional Police and Fire escorts leading off the parade. The Legionaires and Auxiliary members marched along the route as well as the Huntley Lions Club, Lioness Club while dignitaries covered the route in cars. The Huntley High School Color Guard and band performed on their way to the cemetary with the Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Brownies and Park District Baton Class following.
At the cemetery Bob Schultz introduced Rev. Mark Yurs who gave the Invocation. Boy Scouts J^ Ferguson and Dave Smith placed the Memorial Wreath at the base of the Flag Pole. William Leggee was the soloist. Larry Basel recited In Flanders Field. The Huntley High School Band played an American Salute directed by Gary Glowacz.
Mr. William Schultz, Past 2nd Division Commander was the guest speaker. Speaking about our veterans and what they died for, he gave an excellent speech asking all Americans to work for peace. The Firing squad gave the salute and the band played the National Anthem. Taps resounded in the cemetary. Rev. Yurs gave the Benediction.
Refreshments were served by the Huntley Auxiliary at the Legion Home concluding the service. Continued on Page b, 7 & 8
HEARING UNIT COMING TO HUNTLEY
On Tuesday, June 22nd the Huntley Lioness &. Lions Club are sponsoring a Free Hearing Test from 10:00 a.m. to noon and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Legion Home. Testing is
done in the Lion's Hearing Nlobile. All Huntley residents are urged to have their hearing tested.
The Lioness Club in conjunc¬ tion with this test has a program to help defray costs of hearing aids for those with a hearing loss. More infonnation will be available the day ofthe testing.
BASEBALL GAME TICKETS AVAILABLE
Sign up now at the Huntley American Legion Home for the Sox vs. Angels game on Sunday, June 13th. This trip is open to the public and costs S20.00 per person which includes bus fare, ticket to the game (box seat), refreshments to and from the game and sandwiches.
The bus will leave the Legion at 11:15 a.m. on June 13th and retum to the Legion after the game.
CHORAL CONCERT JULY Sth
The Bartlesville Oklahoma Youth Swing Choir, under the direction pf Faye Marlowe Holden, invites the community to a concert July Sth. The concert will be held at the Huntley Grade School Gym al 8:00 p.m. There will be no admission charge.. Plan to bring your friends and celebrate the holiday with this group.
Tbe choir is in need of sleeping facilities from July 1st thru July Sth. If you can assist them call Henry or Helen Mariowe at 669-3144 or 669-5177.

Wednesday, June 16 is the last day to reserve your seat for the Spaghetti Dinner and show being presented by the First Congregational Church of Huntley on June 18 and 19.
The show will be presented by those famous "Hoboes", the Chancel Choir plus several friends who offered to share their talents. Miss Kim Barans, ballerina; Don Wallace, Keith Gengler and Fred Kaiser, all of Crystal Lake will be adding their talents to the show, entitled "Tum Your Radio On." PARK DISTRICT
The regular meeting of the Huntley Park District was called to order at 8 p.m. on May 26, 1982 by Vice-President Tures. Present were: Mercer, Welt¬ zien, Tures, Jurs, Attomey Cowlin, Larry Kahl, LeRoy Wirsing and Betsey Warring¬ ton. Commissioner Borhart was absent.
The minutes of the April 28th meeting were read. Mrs. Mercer made a motion to approve the minutes, seconded by Mr. Weltzien. All ayes and the motion carried.
The Treasurer's Report was given. Mr. Tures moved to accept the report, seoond by Mercer. All ayes ai)d the motion carried.
The minutes of the Annual meeting held April 28, 1982 were read. Mr. Weltzien moved to approve the minutes, second by Mr. Tures. All aye> and the motion carried.
The bills for the month wete presented. Mr. Jurs made a Continued on Page 7
the June Jrd. 1982 meeting was held in the Village Hall in the Board Room and called to order at 8:00 p.m. by President Enstrom.
Present were President En¬ strom, Trustees Berlin, Brown, Rudsinski, Dhamer, Wicke, and Mercer, as well as Attomey Szura, Village Engineer Schwe¬ gel, Auditor William North and members of the Public Works Department.
The minutes from the Special Meeting held May 6th, 1982 and the Regular Meeting held May 6th, 1982 were brought before the Board for approval. Thete being no additions nor correct- I ions, they stood approved as presented.
The financial reports were received in time for the meeting and after review, a motion was made by Trustee Mercer, seconded by Trustee Beriin. to approve of the Treasurer's report and upon roll call, all trustees voted aye and the motion carried.
