SYLVIA HARMON JOINS FARMSIDE STAFF
The experience of preparing for death agonizes Dr. Robert Prank, as "Big Daddy" in a scene from Cat on a Hot Tin Roof with "Big Mama" played by Barbara Beger of McHenty. The play will be staged March 9.10 and 11 at 8 pm at the Woodstock Opera Houae.

Last week Mn. Sylvia Harmon of Huntley joined the Huntley Farmside staff. Mrs. Harmon had previously written for the Hampshire paper. She has also written a number of published short stories and is currently writbg the script for the Fools Follies.
Mrs. Sylvia Harmon, local author and news writer has recently received word that two seperate fiction story's she submitted have been accepted for publication by the Mac Faddons Women's Group, Nationsl Magazine publishers One, a children's story tells the
youngsters about an injured young pheasant befriended by a red Irish Setter. The story is titled. "Mutt & Jeff' and will appear in April. i

RUMMAGE SALE MARCH 10&11
The Annual Rummage Sale will be held March ID & 11 in the Social Hall of the Congrega¬ tional Church. On Friday the sale will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until 6 p.m. featuring a Bake Sale. Saturday will be Sl dollar-per-bag day. from 9 a.m til 12 noon.
Sale  is  sponsored  by   th- church's  Women's  Circle. Items to be donated for sale may be brought to the church during the week preceding the sale.

Coodinator. would Ik to remind  citizens  that  i) signal for approaching  sevt storms such as a Tornado, is steady three minute sounding the waming siren.    This siren will not waver as does the Hrc siren,   and   sounds   fiM   !•¦ extended   period   nt   time. Persons   hearing   the   airen should turn on a Icxal fMN" station, and keep a close wat<'h on the weather developments loatlly.   Loose objects such a» lawn  furniture    childrens  toy- should be secure to prevent them from being ihruwn around if the   wind   docs   come   up suddenly. Also, if you know    ' person who may not normal I hear the warning, call them s>' that they may prepare to move to a place of safety, preferably the   southwest   corner   of   a basement.
No all clear siren is mounded It  is the responsibility of the individual to monitor a rad station for this information.  It tornado does strike, please DO NOT go into that area.    There- may be hazards,  such as gas leaks, electrical wires down, and fire.   It is important to keep all of   these    routes    open    for emergency vehicles and work¬ ers.
To report a Tornado, call (he Police Dept. at 66^-2131. they W'ill pass on the information directly to the U.S. Weather Bureau office.
Persons who would like a sheet with the weather condi¬ tions for tornadoes and safety rules, may pick up a copy at the Huntley Village Hall or the Police Station.

Mrs. Harmon has been writ¬ ing for several leading maga¬ zines in the past two years, in addition to childrens stories, and a full length novel now under an agented contract. Recent published titles include; 'Beethovan The Kitten", 'Dusty' 'An Orphaned Lamb', 'Mutt & JefT. 'How To Be A Successful Grandmother*. 'Somewhere My Love', and 'Flash Flood', among others. Her latest manuscript entitled 'Your..Mine..and.. Curs', is under editorial consi¬ deration for an upcoming issue of Redbook.
