STATE BANK'S ANNUAL EGG NOG PARTY
DISTRICT BOWLING TOURNEY IN HUNTLEY
Huntley High School has been selected to host one of the 20 Illinois High School Association District Bowling Tournaments, Saturday, February 3, 1979 at the Huntley Bowl-Hi Lanes. Huntley, Illinois, starting at 1:00 p.m. Miss Peterson is the District Manager. The schools bowling in the Huntley District Tournament include Algonquin (Jacob), Burlington (Central). Hampshire, Huntley, Waucon¬ da and Woodstock. All 20 Districts are being held on Februarys. 1979.
Each school is allowed a team of 10 female bowlers of which any any 5 may bowl in any given round. Each round consists of 3 games bowled consecutively. All schools will advance to round #2. Round #1 starts at 1:00 and round #2 will start around 4:15. The team with the highest total pin count for both rounds of Competition and any team that ties in the HuMtey District Toumament shall ad¬ vance to the State Final Bowling Toumament in Peoria, Illinois, at the Town and Country Bowl to compete with all the other district winners and the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place winners from the Chicago Public league Girls Bowling Toumament.
The State tournament will be held on Friday and Saturday, February 9 and 10, 1979. A school award will be presented to the winning school in each district, and for the first time this year, medals will be awarded to the girls who score the high game and high series in each District Tournament. In the State Finals - 1st, '2nd, 3rd and 4th place awards will be presented to the winning teams, as well as medalions to all the players on the 1st and 2nd place winning team in the State Toumament and to the girls who score high game and high series in the State Toumey.

Last Saturday, December 16, the State Bank of Huntley held their Annual Egg Nog Party. They hold this every year to thank their many customers. In addition to the egg nog there were many yummy cookies and treats.
Serving as host was Louis VanAcker, State Board Director. Pictured above is Elden Pfaff, owner of Pfaff Auto Sales, enjoying die egg nog.
Last Saturday, December 16, the Santa's Fund Children's Christmas Party was held. The party began in the downtown park with Santa escorting the Snow Princess, Dawn Kunde and Snow Prince, Greg Colson, to the 1st Congregational Church for their reign over the festivities. Chaufering the group was Paul Mercer, Village Board Trustee.
On arrivaUat the hall, Santa began greeting the children and passing out 0tts to them. Many ofthe little ones even sat on Santa's knee and gave him their orders. Refreshments were served, to all the excited young'ens
