SPAGHETTI DINNER & SHOW
Last Sunday, June 20 the Huntley Lions Club held their annual jChicken Barbeque at the Legion Home. Miss Huntley, Leslie Grau,: 'was on hand to greet the crowds. While the Lions cooked the! j delicious chicken and supplied warm food, their wives and Lioness' members served chicken, beans, cole slaw, potatoes and rolls.
At 4 p.m. the Lions held their Trip Giveaway drawing. The winner' this year was Glen Staadt. Continued on Page 10
MARK YURS ORDAINED
Mark Edward Yurs, son of Mrs. Irene Yurs of 12011 W. MainSt. was ordained in the Christian Ministry of the United Churcch of Christ, in the First Congregational Church of Huntley on Sunday, June 13 at 3 p.m..

SENIOR CITIZEN MEETING FRIDAY
Con games and schemes against the elderly will be the subject of a special program at the Huntley Senior Citizens Club on Friday, June 25th at the Huntley Congregational Church.
Chief Richard Ptak and the Huntley Police Departinent will present this very important program.
All Senior Citizens in the area invited to attend the meeting beginning with pot-luck at 12:30.

Last Friday & Saturday, June 18 & 19th, the lat Congregational Choir put on a sensational show called "Tutu Your Radio On" following a delicious Spaghetti Dinner. The show featured songs, dances and commercials from 1910 to present day.
Granny Mary Lou Hardy stole the beginninc of the show as she danced around the stage with Carl Hill to "Ball in the Jack." "Dance with a Dolly" had Larty Warrington puppetering Prudy Cole about the stage. "Baby Face" starred Dale Anderson, dressed as a baby (he looked so cute) with Cindy Sundeen singing to him.
Lois Fredrikson did a rendition of "Tiptoe through the Tulips" that was unbelievable. Shelby &. Cail HiU and Larry & Betsey Warrington harmonized to "Ole Buttermilk Sky." Vicki Zirk got the audience tapping their toes to "Music, Music, Music."
The SO's songs came along with a lot of rock and roll such as "Little Dariin" with Larry Warrington; "Runaround Sue" with Dave Seeman & Dale Anderson and "Blueberry HiU" with Keith Gengler. The Golden Age of Rock &. Roll was presented by Dave

FREE CONCERT IN HUNTLEY
The Bartlesville, Oklahoma Swing Choir gave a concert on June 19th at the Bartlesville Community Center. This was their first concert in the new 13 million dollar performing arts center. The audience of 900 gave the choir two standing ovations fdr their musical program.
This youth choir is made up of 13 boys and 26 girls from five different schools. They wUl be performing July Sth at the Huntley Grade School gym at 8 p.m. for a free concert.
The choir, its director, Faye Marlowe Holden, and 5 chaperons are in need of sleeping facilities from July 1 to July 6 while they tour the Chicago area. If you could assist them, please call Henry Marlowe at 669-5177 or 669-3144.
