The Huntley Redskins Varsity Football team lost toHarvard Hornets by a score of 33-O.The loss leaves the Redskins 0-2 in conference, but 2-2 overall.
The" JV team also lost 49-0. That loss leaves the JV team with an 0-2 conference record and 1-3 overall.
Hnntley Fire Froteedon District To Hold Open Hoose
The firemen and trustees of the Huntley Fire Protection District corcKally invite everyone to their annual Open House on Sunday, October 13th at 1:00 pm. As ic past years this is being held is co&^ctbn with National Fire Prevention Week. This year's 0|sen House is being held at the Huntley Grade Sch(X}l patting lot and football field. All ike and rescue equip¬ ment will be on display for everj'one to view. This year we have added some special dem¬ onstrations, includhig vehicle extrication sud a special appear¬ ance of the "LIFELINE" heli¬ copter ambulance from Rock¬ ford.
For the kiddies we have a very spedal guest appearance by "mO". Watch this nfewspaper for further details.
School Board Minates
The regular meeting of the Board of Education of Sdiool District #158. Huntley Consoli¬ dated Schcds, Hnndey, IHinois was held in the Ifl^ Scfaool building on Septemb^ 12, 1965 at 7:30 pm.
The meeting was called to order by the President at 7:30 p. Upon roll call the following members answered present: Mrs. Ahrens, Mrs. Sdiadt, Mr. Greve, Mr. Bauman, Mr. Hea¬ vey, and Mr. Zht. Absent: Mr. Freeberg.
All present joined in the Pledge to the Flag.
1. Mr. Banman moved Mr. Heavey 2nd to approve the minutes of the August 20 Spedal meeting as written. 5 yeas - 0 nays. Nfotion cairied.
2. Mrs. Ahrens moved Mr. Bauman 2nd to ^>prove the minutes of the Aognst 20 Executive Session as written. 5 yeas - 0 nays. Motkm carried.
3. Mrs. Sdiadt moved Mr. Greve 2nd to approve the
minutes of the August 22 Regular meeting as written. 4 yeas - 0 nays. Motion carried.
4. Mr. Zirk moved Mrs. Sdiadt 2nd to approve payment of $23,000 to kfidwest Transit Equipment of Kankakee, IL for a new 1985 OMC/Carpenter 65 passenger bus. Yeas: Zirk, Schadt, Ahrens, Greve, Bau¬ man, and Heavey. Nays: None. 6 yeas - 0 nays, kfotlon carried.
5. Mr. Heavey moved Mr. Greve 2nd to approve action plan for Reform Legislation to be in compliance with provisions of S.B. 730 effecthre immediate¬ ly, as S.B. 730 became effective August 1,1965. 6 yeas • 0 nays. Motion carried.
6. Mr. Greve moved Mr. Bauman 2nd to ^iprove the 1985-86 School District Annual Report and Application fbr Recognition. 6 yeas - 0 nays. Motion carried.
7. Mr. Bauman moved Mr. Heavey 2nd to apptove the regular meeting dat«s for 1965-
