The I^rvestors continue to cany on a traditimi of exceOence in all that they do. Expanding Horizons was the theme of the 4-H Club Window Display contest Local Clubs promote 4-H program by decorating downtown store aad business windows. The displayes were judged during National 4-H Week. October 5-11 by MarySircsr of Woodstock, member of Woodsto«^ Hne Arts Assodation; Carol Kruse of rural Waodstock, a fimner 4-H Leader and Irene Papen or rural Woodstock, a member of Homenukers Extension Association. The Lincoln O^Mprleafs, McHemy, received first place Ux their disi^y at McHeary** Favorite Sports Center. Second place went to the Huntley Harvestors, they decorated tbe window at Heinemann Hardware. The Better Goals, Woodstock came in third displajrfaig at Coatinaed oa nae 4 The SNOWBALL DANCE wUK be Novonber 1st at the Legion. The band is Burtons Bridge. If you did not make the last meeting, retiun your completed membership fbrm and dues to Randy Zimmerman by the November 4th ineeting. Trail Boss. Charlie Conley announced that trail work shoald start at the end of October. Chock Olson Is working on a clab bowling night- LEGION SPAGHETTI SUPPER A SUCCESS CUB SCOUT CHILI SUPPBtNOV.Isl On November 1st, the Huntley Cub Scouts will hold their annual ChUi Supper from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the lst Congregational Church. For more information call Scout¬ master Jim Boo. Huntley was treated to a Greek-Polish last Wednesday. Odober 8th at the American Legion Home. Believe it or not it was delicious ene tfaou^ it was made by Deimis Rudskinski and BUl Galanis ( BUI has already proven his talents as a chef. It was nice to know that one of them could cook) and their helpers. The group cooked up 189 adult dinners and 19 diUdren's meals. The meal was served by AuxUiary imd Legion members. The spaghetti was served with garlic bread and a salad bar. lickets fbr the event were donated by Midwest WeU and the ad by the Huntley Farmside. The group is already {rfuming another dinner. We haven't been told what the menu is yet. These dinners are being held to raise ftands to air CDBditioit the Legion HaU. CoatiaaedoePace4 REDSKIN VARSITY BEATS : Saturday, tbe Huntley Redakfais beat Soath Beloit 7-0. The Redskin's played an ootstandlng game sacking the South Bdolt quarterback over eight times. The Redskin teamwork was to say the least superior. The offensive line showed a lot of improvement. Erath waa brought dowa only once in the 1st Quarter and trova thea on he was completely protected by his <^ensive Une. The starting lineup fbr the SUns was Len AUen. Brett Barrett, Ken AUen. Dave Eeg, Keith Dobroiinsl^. Toay Hopp. Steve Reynolds. Steve Doyle, Steve Parisek. Adua Brunschon and Jim Goehl. Hopp took this ball to.the '32. Doyle moved to the 46. PET & BIKE PARADE NOV.1 On Saturday, November 1st. the Huntley Parit Distrid will be holding a Pet & Bike parade at Deicke Park at 1:00 p.m. Last year entries included pet rocks, fish, puppies, cats and just about anything the imagiaattoa could "muster up. Motorized vehides are aot allowed in the parade. Dreas up your pet or bike aad participate ia the Parade. HALLOfWEB^ PARTY ocr.siti This year the Huatiey Park Distrid wili be sponsoring the HaUoween Party at the school. As it haa been in the past, tbe children wifl be awarded prizes for the beat oostuiae in eadi age group. There will also be games, prizes, donuts and dder. The Jayceea are also planaing their Haunted Houae agaia thto year. The tiaie aad dates wfll be published ia tiie near fMarc. The Halloweea party will be held at the Hontiey Grade Sdiool gym oa Friday, Odober 31 st«r£g at 7M p.m. This year Trick or Treatiag will be held oa Friday.
