TRINITY LUTHERAN CELEBRATION
Pictured above is Rev. Martin Baumgaertner of Charlotie, North Carolina, who was the guest preacher at Trinity Lutheran Ev. Church last Sunday, September 12 for thc 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services. Rev. Baumgaetner came to Huntiey lo help the members of Trinity celebrate it groundbreaking some 25 years ago. Throughout this year to celebrate the anniversary of the groundbreaking several other former pastors close to the congregation wUl participate in the celebration. Following the 10:30 a.m. service, a pt>t luck dinner was served in the basement of the church.
REDSKINS BEAT WHEATON CHRISTIAN 29-6
The Huntiey Redskins played their first football game of the season at home against Wheaton-Christian winning 29-6. Both teams played a good clean game. Paul Manning did an excellent job as quarterback. Both the offensive and defen¬ sive lines did their j<^ very well.
Huntiey's Dave Hansen took the kickoff at the Huntiey 5 and went to the 30.. Anderson moved to the 34 while Hansen went to tiie 38.
Wheaton took over on the 24 yd. line but couldn't get any yardage.

AUXIUARY MEEnHQ
The Huntiey American Legion AuxHfary Meeting was caUed (O order by President Betty Zirk last Thursday, Sept. 9th. The minutes and Treasurer's Report were approved.
Wayne Blake, Huntley Jr. High Teacher, was introduced. Mr. Blake was the winner of a scholarship to Valley Forge Patrotism Program in Valley Forge. He was very impressed with the facilities and the programs. 55 teachers attended lectures, films and tours. Mr. Blake wUl be a guest at the llth District Meeting on October 17th to teU about his week at Valley Forge. The Huntiey Unit presented him with a chedt to help cover his travel ezpenses.
Mrs. Mabel Shultz, Ameri¬ canism Chairman announced that the theme of this year's essay is "How great Americans infldenced Our Heritage."
Sunshine Chairman Vera Enstrom sent' cards to Bob Schultz and LudOe Koch.
The unit donated S35 to the Veterans Christmas Gifts Pro¬ gram.
The tentative budget was presented by Mrs. Mabel Schultz and approved. There was a discussion on mariiting ttae kitchen walls. A report should be prepared by tfae nezt meeting. The AuxUiary wUl be serving the Lions Club dinners again this year.
There frill be an appredation Nite fbr the Heinrichs on Oct. 29 in St. Charles from 6-9 (reception St ttom, 9 p.m. tlU ? (dandng). President Zirk has tickets avaUable.
Delegates were choosen for the McHenry County Meetings.
Hostesses were named fbr the year.
The meeting was adjoumed.
OPEN HOUSE FOR AUGUST HEINE
Pictured above is August Heine who celebrated his 8Sth Birthday at an Open House at the Huntiey American Legion last Snnday, September 12. Mr. Heine can be seen witta tala aon, Vemon and daughter, Gert Reta. A cake and buffet kmch was aerved. One of the more unusual presents given to Mr. Heine tor his birthday was a spark plug from Mr. St Mrs. Amold Cheaak. The apatk plug is to be used to keep him young and peppy aad shoald be dianged every 5.000 mUes.
