Rick and the band that travels with him, "The Ambassadors", put on a fabulous show. Rick does such a good job impersonating "The King" that at first it was hard to believe he was even singing (but he was). His actions and even his looks almost made you feel like it was really "ElvisI If you missed the show and have another chance to see Rick Saucedo and the Ambassadors, don't hesitate to do so. The show was sponsored by the Huntley Lions and Lioness and planned by the Angie Committee who turned out disappointed in the attendance. There were less than 100 people there to support the cause. The Angie Committee shouldn't feel too bad. They expected a large crowd when first booking the concert but when learning that Rick Nelson's Concert had been rescheduled from two weeks before to the same night, it was inevitable that the show would not bring the money they had thought. Rick Nelson appeared at Marian Central High School Sunday singing to 1250 delighted fans. His shows were at 4:30 and 7:30. Saucedo's was scheduled for 5:00. So, don't feel bad committee....you have succeeded with your every endeavor. To even break even with this one was a miracle considering your competition. Well over $70,000.00 is in the Angie Fund and THAT is somethbg to be proud of.
