TEACHERS & BOARD REACH AN AGREEMENT

FARMSIDE AUTO SUPPLY is happy to report their Grand Opening was a huge success! Many, many people stopped in to see the new store and wish them well. Lots of beautiful flowers and plants were sent by friends and businesses ¦ they came from the State Bank of Huntley; Bakley Construction; Huntley Superman (who also welcomed FAS to the Huntley Center in their weekly grocery ad in the last issue); Ace Hardware; McHenry Savings & Loan; Elmer's Disco; Dee's Green Diamond Restaurant; Hanson's Heating; the "Ervin's 5); Illinois Auto Electric. Elmhurst; Fischbach Bros., W. Dundee; Egnatz Ford Tractor. Warrenville; Wilco Warehouse, Villa Park; Manning Masonry, of Palatine; and a special plant from two fellows named Brian & Leon.
FARMSIDE AUTO SUPPLY is a family business and the family turned out in force to participate in the Grand Opening. Assisting Bill, Leon and Brian behind the counter was Mark DeVries, the Choin's son-in-law; serving as greeters and support to their mom Dianne, were Cindy DeVries (nee Choin) and Kim Choin (nee Kosmen); Irene Menth (Dianne's mom) came down from Gobels, 'Michigan, to take part in the big event and brought with her a beautiful hanging plant from sister Eleanor Camisa of Battle Creek, which fit perfectly in the macrame plant hanger hand made by sister Dolores Tempes of Elk Grove; Vi Choin (Bill's mom) was there to help Irene behind the counter when everyone else took off for the field across from the Supermart to draw the Grand Prize Winner at the balloon; and Jim Choin (BHl's brpther) was running around trying to keep up with everyone and t^ing lots of pictures for the family scrapbooks. He was th^ one who took those gorgeous pictures of a hot air balloon laBnching that Ate on display at FAS. Thanks to Brian, there were two very charming, efficient hostesses

Contract differences were mutually resolved last week between I the Board of Education and the Huntley Education Association in District 158.
The two-year contract, ratified by the teachers on Friday, calls for a 5.5% increase per teacher the first year, 7% per teacRef i.ife ^ second year, and the distribution of $3150 among the extra-duty paid positions for 1979-80.
Disciplinary letters placed in teacher files as a result of the informational picketing at the District Open House have been removed and placed in a single file, to be destroyed Aug. 15, 1979, provided no similar overt action is taken by the HEA.
Says HEA President, Lorraine Lid, "The teachers are pleased with the agreement, particularly the dispensation ofthe letters."
VILLAGE APPROVES PLOTE ANNEXATION
/ At a special meeting held last Wednesday, October 18th, the V^iUage Board voted unanimously to approve the annexation agreement ofthe Plote Industrial Park, Residential and Commercial property south of town. The property is located in back of the Huntley Cemetaries and will run to County Line Road and Route 47. In addition to single family and duplex uniu, 264 apartments are planned for the development. Jhe Village plans to either enlarge the present sewer facility or build new facilities in the future. The annexation does not include Freund Equipment or Cole's TrucMlg which border the newly annexed land to the north. However as th« land is now contiguous to the city limits these parcels may oome la in the future. Futher details will be pubfished in subsquent newspapers.

PANCAKE
BREAKFAST
Sunday. October 29, 1978. the Huntley Lions Club will hold its annual Pancake Breakfast at thi American Legion, located it downtown Huntley across fror the park. This breakfast is on of the organization's variou' money-making projects and ali members and their wives work diligently to prepare this deli¬ cious meal.
Breakfast consists of sausage c^gs and pancakes (juice an' coffee are also included wit your meal).     Serving time  i from 8:00   a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Donation is $2.50 for adults and $1.25   for  children.     Inside facilities assure this breakfast come "rain or shine".
A raffle will be held; prizes include a portable television set. a hanging lamp and a crepe maker.
Money raised by this non¬ profit organization will be used to promote youth activities throughout the area.
The Lions Club invites all to come to Huntley, "A Friendly Village With Country Charm", and enjoy a delicious breakfast in a congenial atmosphere while aiding this worthwhile organiza¬ tion.
