The Huntley Lioness met Wednesday evening at 7:30 at the American Legion, July 17, with 14 of their 26 members present.

$175.00 was donated to the school for an audiometer. The Lioness Club special interest is to help with sight and sound projects. Our community Car¬ mel Com Day is held yearly for only sight and sound projects. We are happy to t>e able to assist in this way.
Band Students To Hold Car Wash
The Huntley Band students wiU be holding their second of three car washes on Saturday, August 3 from 9 - 1 pm at Huntley Jr. High. The Proceeds benefit the uniform fund.
Donations are S3, for cars, $5 for vans and suburbans. Come out and support the band and watch our young people in action! (Next car wash August 17th.)

Senior Otlzens Koncert Band
The Huntley Senior Citizen Koncert Band has been very active this summer. On Satur¬ day, July 13th they played at the Union Schwabenfest and came home with the first place trophy. They also participated in "An¬ gie Day" and the doll raffle was held with proceeds going to the Angie Fund. Vera Enstrom won the doll and what did she name it? Why, "Angie", of course.
The band has been asked to play at the Springfield State Fair but it would be too difficult to raise the money for the cost of the bus to go there so the engagements wUl be more local for this year. In October they wUl play for the Elgin Women's Gub and in December for the Hampshire Women's Qub.

The regular meeting of the Board of Education of School District #158, Huntley ConsoU¬ dated Schools, Huntley, Olinois was held in the Hig^ School buUding on June 13, 1985 at 7:30 pm.
The meeting was caUed to order by the President at 7:30 pm. Upon roU caU the foUowing members answered present: Mrs. Schadt, Mr. Greve, Mr. Freeberg, Mr. Bauman, Mr. Heavey , and Mr. Ziit. (One vacancy)
AU present joined in the Pledge to the Flag.
1. Mr. Greve moved Mr. Bauman 2nd to approve the minutes of the May 9 regular meeting as written. 6 yeas - 0 nays Motion carried.
2. Mr. Bauman moved Mrs. Schadt 2nd to approve the minutes of the May 9 Executive Session as written. 6 yeas • 0 nays. Motion carried.
Mr. Morris, of the McHenry County Economic Development Committee addressed the Board regarding the Tax Abatement question.
3. Mr. Heavey moved Mr. Freeberg 2nd to approve pay¬ ment of the monthly agen(^ of bUls. Education - $10,112.90; OBM - $9,061.79; Transporta¬ tion - $6,239.20; Bond & Inter¬ est - $9,905.50. Yeas: Heavey, Freetierg, Schadt, Greve, Bau¬ man, and Zirk. Nays: None. 6 yeas - 0 nays. Motion carried.
4. Mr. Freeberg moved Mr. Bauman 2nd to go into Execu¬ tive Session for ^e purpose of discussing Personnel. Yeas: Freeberg, Bauman, Schadt, Greve, Zitk, and Heavey. Nays: None. 6 yeas - 0 nays. Motion carried.
The Board went into Execu¬ tive Session at 8:05 pm.
5. Mr. Heavey moved Mrs. Schadt 2nd to retum to Open Session. 6 yeas - 0 nays Motion carried.
The Board retumed to Open Session at 9:15 pm.
6. Mr. Greve moved Mr. Bauman 2nd to spprove renewal of contract for: Barbara Ste¬ phens $4.40 per hour, 7 hrs/ day, 176 days Effective August 23, 1985, Shriley WUliams BS 30, Stip 6 (Vj time) Effective August 22, 1965. Yeas: Greve, Bauman, Schadt, Freeberg, Zirk, and Heavey. Nays: None. 6 yeas - 0 nays. Motion carried.
7. Mr. Bauman moved Mr. Heavey 2nd to accept the resignations of: Paul Monsma Effective June 5, 1985, Kathryn Pease Effective June 5, 1965 and Sanda PoweU Effective June 5, 1985. 6 yeas - 0 nays. Motion carried.
8. Mrs. Schadt moved Mr. Zirk 2nd to pass a resolution approv¬ ing Resignation and Eariy Re¬ tirement of Barbara Movers Effective June 5, 1985. Yeas: Schadt, Zirk, Greve, Freeberg, Bauman, and Heavey. Nays: None. 6 yeas - 0 nays. Motion carried.
