Songs such as "Food, Gioriua Food", "Oliver", "Where is Love?", "Consider yourself, "As Long «« He Neotls Me" were plentiful. The plot centered around Oliver, w)k> was sold into apprenticeship by Mr. Bumble, escaped and fell in with a group of young thieves lead by Fagin. Oliver, while watching the Artful Dodger's techniques for pickpocketing, was arrested. He was taken in by Mr. Brownlow after being vindicated. Mr. Brownlow later learned that Oliver was his grandson. The leader of the thieves, Fagin, fearing that Oliver would disclose their locatton, had the boy kidnapped by Bill Sikes and his girlfriend, Nancy. Nancy had a change of heart and tried to retum the boy only to be killed by Sikes, C. ROBERTSHAW RETIRES FROM HUNTLEY POLICE FORCE Carroll Robertshaw retired from the Huntley Police Force on Mayjj 1st after serving H years. Previously he worked in the Mr. Horeb Police Department for 8 years. During his employment in Huntley, he attended Police school at Northwestern Uniwarsity and several courses on drug abuse. In 1976 Mr. Robertshaw received a Village Commendation. He was responsible for averting a train crash. He placed the squad car on the train tracks with flashing lights to stop a train which would have collided with a train car left on the tracks. Carroll recently received his 35 yeat pin from the Huntley American Legion. His wife, Neva, is also active in the Legion Auxiliary and serves as Blood Bank Chairman. Ihe Robertshaws will be moving to Saulk City, Wisconsin in June. Mrs. Robertshaw said that they will miss all their friends in Huntley. They want to thank everyone for their well wishes and a special thanks lo the young men at Disco who gave Carroll two lovely figurines and a cake. Following the dinner, the Installation will proceed with a dance afterwards with music by "The Hanna Band." Bankes, Siecotive Vice President'aiid Cashier of the State^ 'Bank of Huntley, has announced his retirement effective June 1st; however, he will remain active on the Board as a director. Mr, Bankes began his service with the State Bank of Huntley in 1961 as an Assistant Cashier, a position he held until 1962 when he was promoted to Cashier. In 1963, Roy was .promoted again to Executive Vice President and Cashier, a position he presently holds. Prior to banking, Roy served many years on the executive staff of the Howell Company in St. Charles as an accountant. He has also attended Northwestern University's accounting school and has DARWINNER SARWINNER Jan Smith, a Seaior at Huntley High Sciwaol, was named DAR Reoayteat for diis year.
