Personnel C. Extra Curricular Assign- LION'SGOLFOUnNG The Huntley Lion's Club will be holding a Golf and Dinner Outing on Wednesday, Sept, 17th at Pinecrest Country Qub. The Prime Rib dinner will be held st the Courthouse Inn in Woodstock. The golf is open to the public. Reservations can be made by calling Herb Thurow at 669-32S3 or 669-8496 or Dennis Rudsinski at 669-5005. In spite of all.overcast sky, a large crowd attended Sidewalk Day in Hnntley enjojring bargains and good food. The Seniors boarded a flat bed truck about 9:30 a.m. and drove around town playing eventually they arrived at the Huntley Center where they wpwed the crowd for over a half hour. Weaver Organ also made music at the Center. They were housed at Ace Hardware. Hot dogs and pop were sold by the Huntley Boy Scouts at the Huntley Supermarket and Farmside Auto had a delicious com roast. Continued on Page 16 RON BOTTERMAN WINS ABBEY TRIP FOR TWO a'^ m Last Saturday, August 9th, Huntley Merchants and the Huntley Farmside held the drawing for the Summer Weekend for Two in front of the Legion Home. The Abbey Trip for Two was won by Ron Botterman of Marengo. The winning ticket came from Marlowe Feed k Hatchery. The Dubuque Weekend for Two was won by Dick Engel of Elgin. His ticket came from Parkside Tap. The winning tickets were drawn by Jennifer Borhart and Beth O'Brien. The Great America winners are Shannon Raby (State Bank of Huntley) and Roy Fujimoto (Huntley Inn) drawn by Eric Kittel. The Santa's Village Tickets for a family of five were also drawn by Eric Kittel and won by Sherry Hanses (J.H. Patterson Lumber Co.). Al Jordi (Heineman Hardware), Bud Weber (Heinemann Hardware).. Pastor Kittel (Dr. James O'Laughlin) and William Barton (Huntley Supermarket). Circus World Tickets were won by Bill Maynard (Marlowe Feed & Hatchery): Mary Ellen Moerke (Huntley Supermarket): George Adams (Pinecrest Golf & Country Oub); Jack Faith (West Main St. Pub); Jean Gradishar (Farmside Auto Supply); Tom Moran (Village Inn): Terry Artenburg (Buck Bros.); Dean Pfaff (Freund Equipment): Jim Mattingly (Bowl Hi Lanes); Gordon botts (Huntley Pharmacy): Del Boriiart (Hansen Heating k Plumbing); Mrs. A Rosethal (V ft V Electronics); Norma Gariieb (Heinemann Hardwara): and Don Nate (West Mabi St. Pub). VILLAQE BOARD MEETING The August 7th, 1980 meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held in the Board Room of the Villlage Hall and brought to order by President Enstrom at 8:00 p.m. Present were: President En¬ strom, Trustees Wicke, Stroupe, Dhamer, Mercer and Rudsinski, as well as Attoraey Szura, Village Engineer Schwe¬ gel and members of the Public Works Department. Absent: Trustee Lamb. The first order of business was the review of the minutes of the Public Hearing of the 1980-81 Appropriatwns Ordin¬ anace and the minutes of the previous meeting of July 3, 1980. There being no additions nor corrections, the minutes as above set out were approved as presented.' The financial reports were next to come befbre the Board. Tmstee Stroupe made a motion to approve the Treasurer's Report as written, subject to a transfer of the monies received from the Huntley Park District in the amount of $6,285.00 from the Genend Fund to the Capital ImpfDvement Fund. This motita was seconded by Trustee Mercer, and upon roll call, all trustees voted aye and the motion carried. Attoraey Szura advised that it was in order for the mylar plat for the Kohlhagen property (Meixner farm) be signed and a motion was made by Truratee Dhamer. seconded by Trastee Wicke, to give the authority for sIgnatuK, and upon roll call, all trustees voted aye and the motion carried. Attoraey Szura was to hand same over to the attoraey fbr the property. In the same line, a motion was mode by Trastee Dhamer. seconded by Trustee Rudsinski, to give authority for signature to the Kahlhagen Agreement, and upon roll call, all trastees voted aye and the motion carried.- This, also, was'to handled by Mr. Szura. The mylar of the Plat of Resubdivision of Milk Special¬ ties property in the Plote development, showing a redivi- sion of the lots was given approval for signature by a motion by Trustee Dhamer and seconded by Trustee Wicke. Upon roll call, all tmstees voted sye and this, too, was taken by Attoraey Szura. At this time. Mr. Don DeVine, representative fbr Mr. Plote came before the Board and requeeted a special Board Meeting in two weeks for the purpose of an approval from the Board for the rerouting of some sewer work, engineering plans -were to be to the Village En^eer prior to the meeting so that a formal recommendation could be made to the trastees. Also, all pertinent papers to this purpose were to be in the trustee's hands at least five days prior to the special meeting.
