NEW GRADE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL
Last Tuesday, July 21st, an Open House was held at the new office of Abbamonto, Szura and Binder located in the Heinemann Hardware Building. Businessmen, village ofTicials and friends welcomed thc new law firm.
A lovely table of refreshments were served. Mrs. Binder and Mrs. Szura were on hand to greet the guest with their husbands. Also on hand was Dennis Rudsinski, owner of Heinemann Hardware. A good time was had by all.

Dave Booth was named Principal of the Huntley Grade School at the July School Board Meeting. Mr. Booth received his B.A. degree ' at Knox College in Galesburg. He received a M.A. Degree at Roosevelt University in Chicago. Following his graduation, Mr. Booth taught in the Antioch Elementary School for three years and the Junior High School for 2 years. He was then named Asst. Principal for the school where he stayed for the next five years.
For the next two years, Mr. Booth worked for the State of Illinois under the Title IV C Grant. It was his job as cuniculum director to travel throughout the state setting up environmental education programs.
He and his wife, Jacelyn, live in Genoa City, Wise, just across the Illinois line. Mrs. Booth is a teacher in the Johnsburg School System. They have two daughters, Sarah, 2'/i and Jennifer, 6 mos.
Mr. Booth is no relation to the infaRMUs JoKs Wdkes Beoth. He is looking forward to his nfevir ^iTion at the Huntley School.

SCHOOL BOARD MEETING
The regular meeting of the Board of Education of School District #158, Huntley Consoli¬ dated Schools, Huntley, Illinois, was held in the High School Buildingon July 23, 1981 at 7:54 p.m.
The President being absent the meeting was called to order by Mr. Pupich, President Pro-Tem at 7:54 p.m. Upon roll call the following members answered present: Mrs. Basel, Mr. Spears, Mr. Grismer, Mr. Reid, Mr. Zirk, and Mr. Pupich. Absent: Mrs. Livingston.
All present joined in the Pledge to the Flag.

Un July 15, several local dairymen exhibited their cattle at the Districi Black and White Show. This is an annual show for members or the McHcnry-Lakc Holstein-Freisian Association held al thc McHenry County Fairgrounds. Ihe judge was Bob Butler. Irophics
are donated by many businesses in the McHenry-Lake area. Some | of thc local donations were by George and Marion Fruin,   "Pat" Williams, Lee Hennig Family, Dean Foods, State Bank of Huntley, Freund Implement Co. and Henry Marlowe.

HUNTLEY    FESTIVAL DAY
Huntley Festival Day will begin at 9 a.m. on August 15th with a day and ev<;ning filled with events and fun for the whole family. This day is a combination of Huntley's 130th Birthday and Sidewalk Day. Huntley merchants will have bargains galore displayed for resident. Bargains too good to pass up.
The day will begin ^ivith two Bake Sales. The Seniws will hold theirs at the Huntley Center and the Lioness Club will have theirs at th^ Legion. The
Lioness Club will also serve pie, pie with ice cream and ice cream cones. Games from the Fun Fair will be run by the Park District clowns in Wayne Blake's class under the direction of Betsey Warrington at the Downtown Park and Huntley Center. Organ music will be provided all day by the Cary Music Center at the Huntley Center. Mr*. Griffin, Art teacher, is gathering her high school students together for an Art Show at tbe Legion.
