8th GRADE GRADUATION

Wedncsdav. May 31, at 7:30 pm graduation ceremonies were held at the Huntley Elementary Shcool lor 62 students.
ReLugtiition was given to Valedictorian, Heidi Degner and Salutatorian, Suzanne Blais. Gloria Christensen played the processional and Luann Lamz presented r. solo rendition of "A Time For Us" to the graduating class.
American Legion Awards were presented to Heidi Degner and Bob Livingston, by Bob Schultz. American Legion Pres¬ ident, Second Division.
Larry Lincoln. Principal, pre¬ sented the class and Boatd of Education members. Walter Pupich. Richard Spears and Nancy Livingston awarded the diplomas.
LcRoy Marks. Superintendent presented the class welcome. GoUowing the ceremonies, Dav¬ id Keid offered the benediction, and the assembled audience stood as Gloria Christensen played the Recessional.

TWO HUNTLEY GIRLS WIN NURSING SCHOLARSHE
POLICE DEPARTMENT BIKE RODEO
Nine scholarships--the most ever awarded in one year--have announced today by Mrs. Har¬ old Schmidt, chairman of the scholarship committee of the Woman's Auxiliary of Memorial Hospital for McHenry County. Woodstock.
The recipients will receive the $500 a year scholarships for as many years as their planned education in health care of
medically related fields of service requires, Mrs. Schmidt said.
Three of the scholarships are for four years, four are for three years and two are for two years. Mrs. Schmidt said counting the 13 now in training from scholar¬ ships awarded earlier, 22 people will be receiving scholarship assistance from the Women's Auxiliary scholarship program. VILLAGE BOARD MINUTES
The Regular Meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on June Ist, 1978 at 8:00 P.M. in fhe Board Room of the Village Hall.
Those present were President Enstrom, Trustees Ackman. Frank. Mercer, Lohneis. Eisenmenger and Stroupe. Also attending were Attomey Caldwell, Village Engineer Schwegel. Percy Swanson and Mar\in Radloff. as W'ell as James Dhamer of the Planning C oiiimissioii,
Ihc first order of business was the presentation of the minutes for the Mav 4ih Federal Revenue Sharing meeting and the minutes of thr regular meeting of Ma\ -Ith. There being no additions nor correc lions. Ihey stiK)d approved a>. presented.
The financial reports wert discussed in detail. Trustee Stroupe made a motion to approve of the reports, subject to correcting discrepancies in some of the funds. Motion seconded by Trustee Frank and upon roll '. I(. all trustees votei' aye and the motion carried.

The Pinecrest Country Club liquor license transfer was the next order of business. President Enstrom presented Mr. James Huseman of Huseman Enterprises, Inc., who' will 'h' purchasing the establish¬ ment, cffeciive July I, 1978. Irustee Ackmai made a motion lo grant the transfer of liquor license to the new ownt as of July 1. 1978. seconded by, Trustee Stroupe Upon roll call, all trustees \i;,,d aye, motion carried, and the President will handle the transfer. '
The Board acknowledged a thank you note that was received from Elden Pfaff to the; President and Board MembersK and Police Dept. during hisL operation of tavern business.
The 911 discussion came before the meeting. A motion, was made by Trustee Frank, seconded by Trustee Ackman, to have the village participate in the Lake-McHenry Law Enforcement Commission's area-wide planning effort- Upon roll call, all trustees voted aye and the motion carried. In the same line. Trustee Eisenmenger recommended that the village supplement funding in the amount of $250.00 to assist in the above. A motion was made by Trustee Frank to this effect, seconded by Trustee Eisenmenger. After discussion, the roll noted as follows: Frank, aye; Lohneis, aye; Mercer, aye; Stroupe, nay; Ackman, aye; and Eisenmenger aye.
Motion carried and the Clerk was instructed to make a pay-out of $250.00 to the above.
