Huntley Harvestors present 4- H state award to village

On Thursday, March 12, the Huntley Harvestors 4-H Club presented its State Award to the Village of Huntley at the Village Board Meeting.
The Huntley Harvestors was named a state award winning 4-H Club in Community Service and Global Involvement at 4-H Day held at the University of Illinois last November.
The Huntley Harvestors Community Service
Projects have included Adopt-A-Highway, making centerpieces for the senior citizen's dinner, decorating the Town Square Gazebo for the holidays, supplying luminaria for the end of Town Square on Christmas Eve, conducting a food drive to t)enefit Grafton Township Food Pantry, and participating in the Town
Picnic with a com boil, as well as the Memorial Day Parade.
The Huntley Harvestors want to thank the communi¬ ty for their support, which made winning the State Award possible. Village President Dhamer and the Trustees thanked the 4-Hers for the presentation and plan to hang the certificate award in the Village Annex for all citizens to enjoy and share in.
The Huntley Harvestors meet on the second Thurs¬ day of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the Congre-gational Church in Huntley. All youth, ages 8-18, are welcome to join in the fun. "Are You Into It?"
