Last Saturday, February 28th held at the

PARK BOARD MEETiNG
SCHOOL BOARD MEETINQ
The regular meeting of the Board of Education of School District #158, Huntley Consoli¬ dated Schools, Huntley, Illinois, was held in the High School building on February 29, 1981 at 7:30 p.m.
The President called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. upon roll call the following members answered present: Mrs. Basel, Mrs. Livingston, Mr. Spears, Mr. Grismer. Mr. Pupich, Mr. Reid, and Mr. Zirk. Absent: None.
All present joined in the Pledge to the Flag.
Mr. Pupich moved Mr. Reid 2nd to approve the minutes of the February 17, meeting as written. The motion carried with 7 yeas and 0 nays.
Representatives from the staff were present to discuss the Sodal Studies Curriculum with the Board: Members of the presenting committee, Mr. Larry Kahl, Mrs. Linda Lan¬ phier, Mrs. Cathy Leggee, Mr. Glen Anderson and Mr. Bob Frenz.
Mr. Gordon Allen of Bradley & Bradley Inc. was present and recommended the acceptance of the lowest responsible bidder for cafeteria renovation. Low bidder being Swedberg & Assoc., Inc. of Sycamore, a bid of $68,800. Mr. Grismer moved to accept this recommendation Mr. Reid 2nd the motion. The Continued on Page 2

MINUTES OF THE REGULAR
MEETING OF THE HUNTLEY PARK DISTRICT
The regular meeting of the Huntley Park District was called to order at 8 o'clock on Wednesday. February 25, 1981 by President Ruth. Present were Commissioners Ruth, Mercer, and Weltzien and employee, Larry Kahl. Commissioners Tures and Borhari were absent.
The minute of the January 28th meeting were read. A motion to approve the minutes was made by Mr. Weltzien and seconded by Mrs. Mercer. All Commissioners voted aye and the motion carried.
The Treasurer's report was given. Mrs. Mercer moved to accept the repori, seconded by Mr. Ruth. All voted aye and the motion carried.
The bills for the month were presented. Mr. Weltzien made a motion to pay all bills, seconded by Mrs. Mercer. All voted aye and the motion carried.
Larry Kahl gave his repori on the grounds, equipment and damage. A discussion of the spring and summer projects and work schedule followed- Mr. Kahl then left the meeting.

On Saturday, March 21, the Huntley Park District Ballet classes will begin at the 1st Congregational Church. The first class for ages S-7 will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m. and the second class for ages 8 & up will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. The cost of the classes are S6.00 and the classes will continue for 6 weeks thru May 6 (skip April 18 for Easter vacation). The students are required to wear light pink tights k. leotards. The instructor is Jan Baren from the Judith Svalander Dance Studio in Crystal Lake.
To register please call Betsey Warrington during regular Park Office hours on Wed. from 9:00-11:00 or on Sat. from 10:00-noon at 669-3180 or at home at 669-5573. Please register so that we know how many students to plan for.
ST. PATRICK'S DINNER-DANCE MARCH 14th
The Huntley Lion's Qub is holding their fourth Annual St. Patrick's Dinner and Dance on March 14th at the Huntley American Legion. Dinner will be served from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and the dance will run from 9:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Com Beef and Cabbage will be served with a little bit of the green.

PARKDISTRK OFFERS TRIP TO CAPADES
On Saturday, March 14, the Huntley Park Distrid is spon¬ soring a trip to the Ice Capades at the Chicago Stadium. This year's show will star the world champions and five time U.S. Natkmai Champions. Tai BaM- ad Kaady Gaadaar, and
'feature such scenes as "Light Up the Ice," "Alice at the Wonderiand Ball," "Journey to the Ice Age," "Juke Bos Jamboree" and "Paris by Night."
