REDSiON VARSITY BEATS CENTRAL
¦v>
The Huntley Redskins took on {Central away last Saturday {winning 7-6. The Skins defen¬ sive line played an outstanding game holding Central to no scoring until the 4th Quarter. Going into last Saturdays game Centnd was tied for 1st Place. Central had not antidpated the capability of the Redskins because of their loss to Sandwidi. The Skins pulled off a TD in the first quarter and stuimed Central. The Redskins were up for the game because of the Cheerleaders deooratkns. Three senkr cheerieaders. Sue Schaller, Jan Smith and Darcy Roesslein spent their Halkween night and Saturday morning putting up aigna at each of the varsity i^ayer's homes. It took them all night to complete this task.
It would be aa impossible task to pick a player of the week for this last gsme of the season.
Everyone of the Skins play above and beyond. Certainly among the top, tacklers were Brannam, Briscoe, Brunschon, Dobrolinsky, Goehl, Lindsey. Roesslein, and Reynolds. Goehl, Brunsdion, and Doyle were th<i top offensive men. Ken Allen, Len Allen, Dave Eeg, Darrell Pfaff, Tony Hopp and Nick Susong made some good defensive plays and held the line in tad. There were several Juakrs who got faito the game and ahowed how well they can play aad played last year. They were Brett Barrett, Mike Grechis, Curtis Looney, Bill Martin. Chad Reeves and Pat Schweiger. Tony Hopp dkl his usual great j(A cm the kickoffs gettiag them way down field while Jim Briscoe kicked the punt for the winning pt.
