Lions Club Hearing Mobile Arrives In Huntley
The Huntley Lion And Lioness sponsored a hearing mobile on Tuesday morning, 9:00 until noon, November 15. Residents of Huntley could have their hearing checked at no charge. Pictured are some of the members that bring this service to our community with the hearing mobile. The Lions are pleased with the support they received for this and all their other projects.
Board of Education Meeting
The regular meeting of the Board of Education of School District #158, Huntley, Consolidated Schools, Huntley, Illinois was held in the High School building on October 18, 1988 at 7:30 p.m.
The meeting was called to order by the President at 7:40 p.m. Upon roll call the following members answered present: Mrs. Schadt, Mr. Crabill, Mr. Heavey, Mr. Bauman. Absent: Mrs. McDonald, Mr. Greve, Mr. Freeberg. All present joined in the pledge to the flag.
1. Mr. Crabill moved, Mr. Heavey 2nd to approve the minutes of the September 16 regular meeting as written.

2. Mr. Heavey moved, Mr. Crabill 2nd to approve payment of monthly agenda of bills and imprest. Education
- $74,960.08; OBM - $33,223.36; Transportation - $10,227.43.

Craft Fairs
Christmas is coming and crafts are a big item on everyone's list. Below are some of the local craft fairs to visit for handmade heirlooms.
* Cary - Bright Oaks Holiday Bazaar Commission, Nov. 18, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Nov. 19, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Bright Oaks Clubhouse.
* Elgin - St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary's annual Kris Kringle Bazaar and Bake Sale, Nov. 18 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the hospital, 77 N.
Airlite Street.
* Woodstock - "Christmas in Woodstock" Nov. 19 and 20, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at McHenry County Fairgrounds, Building D.
* Elgin - Elgin Junior Woman's Club sponsors approximately 144 crafters
for "Trinkets to Treasures" Nov. 19, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Hemmens Auditorium. Lunch will begin at 11 a.m. Proceeds will go to local charities.
* Algonquin - St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Women's Club presents "Christmas in the Country Bazaar"'Nov. 19, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Jacobs High School on Randall Road. Choir members will sing Christmas carols and Santa will be present. Baked goods and lunch will be available.
* Elgin - Nov. 19, 9 a.m. to
1 p.m. at Countryside Manor, 971 Bode Road.
* Elgin - Ladies of the Elks Holiday Bazaar, Nov. 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Elgin Elks Club, 18 VUla Court. Breakfast will be served 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
American Legjpn Auxiliary Presentation To School
May Chesak, President and Doris Ball, Education Chairman, represented the American Legion Auxiliary as presentations were made to the Huntley Schools. Superintendent Robert Bunt accepted bushels of apples for the teachers at each school. He also received $60, to be used for pictures in the leaming center and $78 for library books at each level: Elementary, Junior High and High Schools.
