Work Starts on Tollway Euttatkce
Work started last week irradlng the land on either side of the North¬ west Tollway at Route 47 on the land which will be used for entrance to the tollway. In the pictures above can be seen heavy earthmovlng equip¬ ment at work and steaks marking where the entrance will be. The project is due for completion in 1972.

A special meeting of the village board was held Friday, Sept. 24th at 5 p.m. in the Village Hall. The purpose of this meetinp was to con¬ sider issuing a packaged liquor li- con.se to the Huntloy Supermarket in the new Huntley Center.
Present at the meeting were Presi¬ dent Brill, Trustees Ackman, En¬ strom, O'Connor, OhLiber, Zimmer¬ man with Trustees Cole absent. The applicant for the liquor license is a corporation consisting of Mr. Hein- burg, owner of Supermarket, Clyde Bakley hLs local representative and a third party, his name clerk En¬ strom did not have.
Voting in favor o fthe application were Enstrom, O'Connor, OWaber. Voting against it were Zinunerman and Ackman.

MEETING OF THE HUNTLEY
PARK DISTRICT
The regular meeting of the Hunt- lay Park District Board was held on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1971 at 8:05 p.m. The meeting was called to order by President Parisek, with Commissioners Mackeben, Parisek, Tures and Ream present and Com¬ missioner Deicke absent. Also m attendance was Mr. Larry Kahl.
The secretary was asked to read the minutes of the previous meet¬ ing of Sept. 1, 1971 after which a HKition was made by Commissioner Ream, seconded by Commissioner Tures, to approve tfae minutes as PARK BOARD

Congregational Dedication Oct. 17

The First Congrregational Church of Humley will dedicate its new building addition at the 10;45 Wor¬ ship Service, Sunday, October 17th. At the dedication service will be the Illinois United Church of Christ Conference Minister, the Rev. Dr. Eston Butterfield. Following die dedication servioe, a noon potluck dinner will be held in the church's social hall. Open House for the church, its members, friends and visitors will be held in the afternoon from 1:00 to 4:00. Hosting the open house will be all current and past members of the Board of Deacons and Deaconesses. Everyone is in- vtted to attend amd see the addi- Mfxs and changes that were made Iio the church.
The new additian consists of a brick connecting wing between the church and its social hall. This new wing houses storage space, and two Sunday School class rooms.
A comj^te basement was also added to the churchi which necessi¬ tated tihe complete raising of the 107 year old church off the ground while a new foundation was com¬ pleted. This new basement area is open a( iHCwcnt but additional class rooms will be created in this area in the future.
A new colonial entrance was also added to the chiurch, and under the new entrance two new restrooms. With the addition of this new con¬ struction, complete freedom of movement to amd from the ohurch, Coatinued on page two DEDICATION

Park Board Meeting
A speoiai meeting of the Huntley Park District Board wias heW on Monday, Ootober 4, 1971 at 5:30 P.M. The President called the nieet- injf to order with Commissioners Mackeben, Parisek and Ream and Engineer Scheflow in attendance. Those absent were Commissioners Deicke and Tures.
The purpose of this meeting was to review the bids and award the contract on the proposed park shel¬ ter and fireplace.
Mr. Sdieflow stated that all the biddens had received the final re¬ visions in the specifications and had incorponaited them into Iheir bids and that all bids received followed the oompiete specificadonB with no exceptions to them. The bids re- ceivd were as folio ws.
Bidder — Illinois Hydraulic, El¬ gin, Illinois, Amount - $11,890.00, Security - Certified Check, $1,200.00.
