Redskins Upset By Richmond
Rlchmonds' Rockets, eager at a tiiance, pulling off a big upset came out and did jaat that as they scratched aad soaped their way to a 19-8 win owr the suiprised Redskins of Huntley.
Three thi^s snapped Huntley's 4 game winning streak, a sloppy playhig Teld, fumtiUng near the opponent's gcal Hne and the tricity lurcing cf the Richmond backs.
"Oie hi^mestcwn Rockets comple¬ mented this running attack with r~me long pass i^ays cne cf which pave Ihem a touchdown in the very first series of plays.
In ccnt-£-t, the visiting Redskins just couldn't put it aVl together consistently. Larry Deteney, one of he Huntley halfbacks, swer'- arcund: the right end and raced past every- Vd'y to cap cur ooly scoring drive ri the rtig^t
The Hurtley defense also grabbed P rharo cf the spcdight by aailiag a R'chmond player in his own end z'le f3r a two point safety.
Stopping them when tiiey had to, Ricbmcnd's defense was part of the overall spark needed to stop one of the best teams in the Little 8 conference.
