Dedication At Congregational Church
Huntley To Be On WLS-TV
Sunday, Oct. 17th the first Con-l gregational Church of Hundey, the| cities oldest diurch founded back 1852, celebrated a dedication on i\t new addition and remodeling to area'.s oldest dhurch building, original church built during the vil War in 1863-64 is the olde existing church building in McHenryl County and the North East terri-i tory of Illinois. Guest speaker for the day was the Rev. Dr. Erstoni Butterfield, Conference minister foro the Uniifd Church of Christ, state* of IllinoLs.
The dedication service, led by IJheJ Rev. Dr. Robert I,. Frank, current! pastor, used the words of dedicatio from the 1952 Centennial Year, from the origin;il dedication service| of the church in 1864. The additioJis^ and remodeling to the church were* dedicated To Tho Worship of God' and the servico of man.

On Wednesday, October 13, John Drury of WI^TV Channel 7 News came to Huntiey with his television crew for a special news filming. Mr. Drury reiad an article in the Chicago Tribune written by Miss Carolyn Toll about Himtley being without a doctor and tbou^ht that this was a news item for the general public. Three television crews helped Mr. Druiy in the preparation of this Channel 7 news speoiai. Some of the filmii^ was fldone in front of Don's Super Valu, the Village Store, Chuck's Barber Shop, the State Bank of Huntley, the Medical Bivilding, Unilon Special Machine Company and the Village Park. A number of Huntley resi¬ dents were interviewed on the stre^ in the Medical Building and in th Village Store-8001 made var¬ ious comments on the need ftw a doctor in Huatley.

James Manning, Commander of the Huntley American Legion Post 673, announced today the Vetezans Day win be observed in Huntley on Monday October 25th at 11:00 A.M. in front of the the Himtley Ameri¬ can Legion Home.
