2 Indited for Attempted Murder In Huntley
The McHenry County Grand Jury indited two men in the Huntley shooting incident wWoh occurred in front of Codenijan's Tavern Augoust 25th. Arthur D. Cannes, Belvidere, and Jobn F. -Powell of Popular Grove were charged with attempted murder, ag-gravated assult £^nd un¬ lawful use of weaponfi.
The Grand Jury charged that the men had attonpted to murderBMinie Smith and Silas Christian by alleg¬ edly fjring harvdguin at them with the intent to kill. There are seven counts in all against the men.
Police Report
Sept. 3 — In Woodstock there were two cases handled by llie Hunt¬ ley Police Do-pt. that was presented to the Grand Jitry. After hearing both cases the Grand Jury handed down a True Bill against all subjects involved. Trials are now pending.
Charged with Arson, a Mr. EMdie Lyle will go to trial stemming from his arrest 6-8-74 in Union Special by Officer Robertshaw.

Sept. 3 — Domestic Problems - On two diferent calls, a husband and wife were having words which seem¬ ed to get out of hand, after talking to the police oficers they calmed down and both agreed to seeing their lawyers or ooimsellors.

Village Board Minutes
The Regfdar Meetang ol the Vil¬ lage Board was held in the Board Room of the Village HaU, Thursday evening, September 5, 1974 at 7:30 p.m.
The fcdlowing officers were pre¬ sent: Presadert Enstrom, TYustees: Zimmennasi, Stroupe, PKank, Eg¬ gers, Manning, as w^ as Attorney Oaidwell, Mc. Ranc^ Woodnmn and Percy Swanson. Absent was Leonard Ackman.
The minutes were presented and as there were no corrections or al¬ terations to be irtade, they stood ap¬ proved as presented.
The Treasurer's Reports for July and August were then presented and discussed. A motion was made by Tnustee Eggers, seconded by TtMS- tee Zimmerman, to approve these reports and upon roll call, all mem¬ bers %"Oted aye and the motion car¬ ried.
The Motor Fuel Tax Aliotment for July was $1,233,04 and the muni¬ cipal Tax was $7,644.49.
A motion was made by Prank, sec¬ onded by Eggers, to allow all bills and have ordets drawn on the Treas¬ urer for their amount. Moteon was carried.
