Tlie regular meeting of the Board of Education of the Hiuitley CoiBolidatcd School E»st. No. 158 was held in the hi^ School build¬ ing on Februany 14, at 7:45 p.m.
Upon roll call the following ati- swcTcd present Mr. Jirik, Mr, Mi¬ chelsen, Mr. Brandwein, Miss Mackaben, Mr. Adams and Mr. Stading. Mr. Bein was absent.
1. A motion made by Mr. Adanxs and seconded by Mr .Brand¬ wein to approve of the minutes as read. Motion canAed 6 yeas and 0 nays.

Election Notice
Two memtjers of Huntley Board of Eduoation team wdll expire this year. The terms for Miss Ida Mack¬ eben and president Roi«dd Jirik will be complated at the aimual school board election held on Sat¬ urday, April 8, 1972, fnom 12 noon to 7 p.m.
Miss Mackeben has indicated that she will not seek re-eleotion.
Feb. 23 is the first day for filing of petitions for candidates in seven member boards at education. March 17 is last day for filing petWons for nominaition of candidates.
Petitions can be secured from Ernest Steding Jr. at 214 Wood¬ stock St, Huntley, Illinods, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Betty Abrens Speaks At Bankers Assoc
Mrs. Betty Alirens, officer lof the State Bank of Hurttley, was speaker of a panel discussion ait the DuKane- DeKalb chapter of Bank Administration Institute at Naperville Country Club February lath, on. the subject: "RespooMibil- ities of Junior and Senior Bank Of¬ ficers." Bank Admimstration Inl stitute is a national bauik organ¬ ization of over 8,000 mejnber banks. The DulCane-DeKalb chap¬ ter includes lover 70 banks and the meeting at Naperville was very successful with over 120 bankers in attendance.

Improve Service Girl Scouts Hold
Illinois Bell estimates tliat it spent about $381 n^llion on con¬ struction in 1971 — the second straight year the company spent more than $1 million each day to provide, expand and improve telephone service.
The oompany also paid a total of $5,792 in local property taxes' for 1971 in its Huntley exchange area.
Estimated 1971 expenditures of Illinois Bell, including local pur¬ chases of the Western Electric Company, the Bdl System's manu- flacturing and supply unit, were $31,839 in the Hunitley area.
The wages peud IlBnois Bell em¬ ployees in Huntley totaled $51,600.
Illinois Bell reached contract agreements witb five labor unims coveaing 31,000 employees in 1971. Cotilihiuing inflation, including the wage settlements, forced the com¬ pany to ask tfae Illinois Commerce Commission in September for a $182 million general rate increase — the second such request in the last 18 years. Food Fest
International Foot Test —
"Hie Huntley Girl Scouts held an International Food Fest on Satur¬ day, Feb. 19, at the Congregation¬ al Church. The event was held from 1:30 to 3 p.m.
The Intematicnal Food Fest was for the Girl Scouts only. This ac¬ tivity was in honor of Thinldng Day. Thinklns: Day is the day on which al Ithe scouts are to think of the otiier Giri Scouts in all the countries of the world.
Each of the fa-oops selected a cooutry in which Giri Scouting Isi active. We prepared a dfish for each country and the girls oould sam(4e each of the disiies from the various countries. Some giris wore the costume of their oountry and some grpups did a song or dance <jtr some form of enteijbainmenli from their country, Dd^ilays were made for each country, such as a doll or flag pictures, fiacts, etc. The countries represnticd were INreland, u^bria, Hawaii, Holland, Mexico, Japan and France.
Blue and (loU Banquet
Huntley Pack No. 167 had thor annual Blue and Gold Banquet, Feb. 17th at the First Congrega¬ tional Church, Huntley. We are very please to have had such a good turn out this year. Approximately 190 Cub Scouts and their families and guests attended.
The F*ubeloB presented tfae cotor"; witlh the Pledge of Allegiance and God Bless America. Pot Luck din¬ ner was served with a choice of beef, chicken or ham. A movie was presented by the Illinois BeU Tele¬ phone Company entitled, 'Tligh Road of Illinois." The movie cover¬ ed many pointe of interest in Illi¬ nois, which miost of us are unwore of.
