Mrs. .laclde Paydon and Mrs. Peggy Jonos from the Illinois Boll Telephone Company visited with the Cooperative Education cla.ss from the Huntley Hgh Scbooi this past week.
The reason for fhcir visit was to communicate information about thdi company tfitf to e*pJain the use of business phone to the stu¬ dents.
Jackie Paydon demonstrated how to talk on the phone and how to operate a business phone having more tli'an one line and bow to use tbe hold button. The students were able to make praotice calk on equipment that the phone com- panv loft in the classroom for one week.
This equipment called a Tele- trainer consasts of two activateff teler>honcs, a call director, and a louds pea ker-C'^n trol unit. The unit provides a dial tone rineinp and' busy signials. This "live" te'lophone equipment is an aid in creating realistic classroom situations for P'^actiee in developin^r oenvoreation- al   skills.

Wednesday — Baked ham. ma.sh- ed potatoes with butter sauce, but¬ tered green beans, buttered bread, applesauce, mik.
Thursday — Spaghetti and meat sauce, tossed salad, French bread, pineapple  tidbits,   mik.
Friday — Fresh orange juice, tuna & noodles, buttered peas & carrots, buttered bread, oatmeal brownies,   mik.
Each day peanut butter and jelly sandwiches will be served in place of main dish.
Pictures of the American Legion Steak Fry and the Wabash Tape Co picnic will appear in next weeks Farmside.

Upon roll call the following an¬ swered present Mr. Jirik, Mr. Zill¬ er. Mr. Adams, Mr. Michelsen, Mr. Stading and Mr. Bein. Mr. Brand¬ wein absent.

Homecoming Parade Announcement

All participarkate in the Home¬ coming Parade will line up at 9:00 A.M. on October 28 at the Wi^ School and Sunset Drive. At 10:00 A.M., the parade will go to Main Street, then to South Church Street. From Church to Mill Street; from Mill to Myrtle; then back to Main. At the High Sohool, the parade will be disbanded.

Steak Fry Success Held Sept. 24
The Huntley American Legion held their annual steak fry last Sunday, Sept. 24 in the Legion home. A total of 120 steak dinners were sold. The remaining steaks were purchased by those attending the event. In addition to the steak fry, the American egion Auxiliary licid  a  Veteran's  Craft  sale.
School Announces Free Meal Policy
The Huntley Consolidated School today announced a f"e-> m-^l policy for District No. 158 school children unable to pay the desitmated price.

First P.T.A. Meeting Termed Success
The first meeting of the Huntley P.T.A. for this school year was the best attended meeting in some time.
The meeting wns called to wder at 8:00 P.M. by WUUam Leggee this year's President, who led the audience in tbe Pledge to the Flag. The colors were presented by rep¬ resentatives of the Huntley High School Color Guard.
Mr. Leggee introduced tits other officers of P.T.A. who are — Roger Simpson, Vice-President; Mary El¬ len Ervin, Secretary; Mary Ziller, Treasurer.
