Presideat*^arisek oalled the meet¬ ing to order. The minutes from tbe last regular meeting' were read and apiwoved. The minutes fnom a July 3rd special meeting were read and also approved. The treasurer's report was given and approved by a unanimous vote. Shane Jordi was also present at this meeting. Being a Boy Soout, he has been kxiking for a project. He has an idea to build bird feeders for the park. A motion was made by Comniissioner Deicfce to "grate¬ fully accept bird feedens for our paA.'' Comndssdon Tuias seconded the motion, which was approved by a unardinous vote. Next on the agenda was to pay the nioi^lily bils. The boand ap¬ proved tbe aivropriation of $5863.54 to pay these bails. Eteotric limiting for the paik was also discussed. It was suggested tfaat tbc wire be purchased and in- atalled while tfae ground is stUl soft. July 27 — 12:30 p.m. On duty po¬ lice officers asasted the McHenry County Poiioe with an accident north of town. Police secured scene until the Sheriffs Dept. arrived. July 27 — 2:15 a.m. Police ob¬ served a group ot people gather on Main Street of which 6 or 7 were drinking beer. They were advised to discontinue making so much noise and drinking in public. These peo¬ ple expressed a desire to cooperate and dispersed July 27 — 4:00 a..m Police were summoned to the area of Bast Main St. on a repoit that several intoxi¬ cated individuals had enga^d in throwing beer cans in the street. It was reported that a window had been broken. Police stated that they could not receive the identifioatiOn of tlie subjects at thnt time, how¬ ever the Chief assures action will be taken to prevent further similar activiti^. Postmaster Richard Michelsen wishes to remind those Who^ would willfully destnoy, vandalize, or tamp¬ er with rural mail boxes, that to do so is a federal oltiinse punishable by flhe, imprisonment, or both. Botii county and federal postal inspedaom service autiiorlties have been no¬ tified of the hdgh incidence of mail box vandalism in the Huntley rural area and both have investigations under way. The motion was seconded by Trustee Ackman. The zoninsr board report on the Melahn property was read. Trustee Frank made a motioa seoonded by Trustee Manning to accept Om re¬ port. The motion carried ail ayes. Salaries for taking the manUtes at the z(»iing boiard hearings was discussed. Tnustee Stroupe made a suggestion to tfae effect that the boairi hire a court r^XKter for these meetings. Attorney Caldwell said that he would check into this. A mo¬ tion was made by Trustee Franfcand seconded by Trustee Manndng' to pay Mary Stroupe $30.00 for taking minutes at tiie Melahn hearing and to pay Diane Downen $15.00 for taking mdnutes at the Weltaen hear¬ ing. The total amount appropriated for all village departments is $ 1,304,560.00. A motion was made by Trustee Stroupe to aocept thas owfinance. Trustee Eggers seconded tho mo¬ tion and it was approved with all ayes. Ridiard Enstrom, just-resdgned Village Clerk, was present at the meeting. He Was presented an Om¬ ega gold watcfa for his 25 years of .seivioe to the connnumity and the board. Harry Putdom was present at the meeting to oomptain about the Ss- tuit>ances as of late on Main Street from 2 a.m. until 4:30 a.m. A let¬ ter was given to the board from E. Konaszewski by Mr. Purdom in which Mr. Konaszewski states he is moving away from Huntley tiecausc of the noise and annoyances. A plan has been worked out with police chief Dan Dziewior to stop these disturbances and was exerciser this past weekend.
