The minutes were read and approved, Wally Pupich thanked Mr. marks. Moylan and Lincoln for attending the meeting and enter¬ ing the discussion on discipline. Newsletter: As of October 20 (he CAC is recognized as a non-profit corporation and has received it's charter. The second step is to apply to IRS for a tax number as a non-profit corporati¬ on. Mailing labels have been obtained and a committee is putting a mailing list together. The first publication should be within the next three weeks. It was decided to have Speedy Press print the newsletter at $46.55 per 800 copies and $5 for folding. Discipline: Jim Richmond repo¬ rted that Betty Zirk, Belle Ostra¬ nder and Christine Richmond have been investigating discipline methods at other schools. The three told of the various means used by the other school systems. When questioned as to their reactions to the Hampshire Disc¬ ipline methods, Mr. Moylan stat¬ ed that he'd like to know what prompted the study. He also stated that he was not "married to ou discipline system" and was willing to listen, discuss and try other methods. He felt the detent- ion system worked because stud¬ ents don't like it. Mr. Lincoln felt the the philosophy and princiles of the Hampshire system were similat to thaf of Huntley's. Mr. Marks had similiar reactions as Mr. Lincoln, He slated "what works has to fit your structure at a particular time." Finally Mr. Moylan made a request that the CAC form a committee to help contact parents and arrange for small groups of parents to meet with Mr. Moylan to discuss problems, visit classes and eat in the cafeteria. The meettng adjourned at 10:15 TTie agenda for future meetings will be published in the paper prior to the meeting. Respectfully submitted. Marjorie Swanson, Secretary SCHOOL LUNCH MENU 11-22 to 11-26 Monday Bar-b-que, french fries, butter¬ ed com, apple crisp and milk Tuesday Meat loaf, mashed potatoes, vegetables, buttered bread, red jello with fruit, and milk Wednesday Lasagne, butiered green beans buttered brad, baked dessert, and mUk Thursday & Friday NO SCHOOL BOY SCOUTS AT NEEDHAM WOODS Troop 167 spent Nov 12 13 & Scott Randels, Quin O'Brien. I The adults were Gary DeDin*. 14th at Needhams Woods' near John Moeller, Gerry DeDina, I Dave Bjom and Don DeDina. The Kaneville, III. 11 boys and 3 Keith Dobrolinsky. Colby Manley hoys were taught fire building adults were at the woods. They [ Corey Manley. Doug Will and? and two bo>s earned their knife wereGreggDeDina, Tim Randels'L*^hamblin. and axe awards. A super good- j time wax had by everyone there. UONS CLUB RECEIVES AWARDS The regular meeting of the Huntley Lions Club was held at the American Legion Post at 7:30 pm on Tuesday. Nov 9th, The meeting opened by singing "America the Beautiful" led by Lion Elden Pfaff ac^-ompanied by Mrs, May Chesak. The Plaedge of Allegiance was led by Lion Howa¬ rd Ruth. The invocation by Lionj Del Borhart. Special guests were District Governor Lion Jack Norl- ing of Sandwich and Deputy District Govenor Lion Loo Krum¬ me. Other guests were mr. Bob Hight and Mr. BiH Ferrar of Crystal Lake, They were guests of Lion Elmer Britton and Lion Tom Ramsey. Lion Jack Noriing inducted Ed Schweiger and Chuck Dammyer into Lionism in an impressive ceremony. Lion Leo Krumme awarded immediate past Presid¬ ent Del Borhart with a 100% diamond studded pin. This for an outstaiuiing year that saw the president meeting several requir¬ ements. Committee reports were heard from Lion Tom Swanson, Uon Mel Ewert and Lion Howard Ruth.
