So please do not bring them to tho tJTJCk. The truck wiM -be parked in the Huntley Amerioan Legion parking kt. The pickup may be arranged by calling 609-5751. PTA Plan Open House October 17th and 18th arc the dales designed for the open house at the Huntley Schools. luesday, October 17th will be the night for parents of junior high and high school students to attend Ihe open house. On thjs ni^t the parents will receive their child's sdiedule caid and follow the same c'ass schedule as their child does during the school day. Each perii:>d will be approximately 15 minutes in length. This should allow par¬ ents the opportunity to see each teacher involved. The next night, Wednesday, Octo¬ ber 18th is the night for parents rf chjldren in Kindergarten through fifth grade. Each teacher will have three thirty nrinute sessions. This wii! allow parents a chance to see at least three teachers and hear the presentaticns. Cooperaticn between parents and teachers is one of the most ef¬ fective means of helping students. The P.T.A. and the teaching staff hop-e that all parents will ^how an interest in their child and the scihool by taking advantage of this oppor¬ tunity. Guidelines for a Safe Halloween Guidelines for the safe celebna- lico of Halloween are amiounced this week by a committee of par¬ ents P.T.A. members. Chief of Po¬ lice and sdwoj officials. Monday, October 30 has been set as the day for trick-or-treeting be¬ tween the hours of 6:30 and 8:00 p.m. Householders wbo wish to parti¬ cipate are asked to keep ejdierior porch li^ts on that evening. Lights should be tumed off at 8:00 p.m. indicating that trick-or-treating time is over. Other guidelines are as follows: 1. Nev^" let small children go trdck-or-treating alone. They should be accompanied by older children or adults. 2. Suggest that trick-or-treat round are confined to their cwn neighborhoods, and to people they know. 3. Houseiholdws are urged to give children Sactory-wrapped or sealed treats only. Some may wish to give money in place of treats. No loose or uncovered candy, pop¬ corn, fnrit or othM" goodies. 4. Urge children to wait until they get home to taste their "Tieats" so that parents can first inspect them. Report any unusual or suspicious treate to parents. Save treat and remember wliere you got it. 5. Warn against the wearing of vision-restrictng Halloween masks or other head-coverings by young¬ sters. Use c<4orfUl facial makeup instead. 6. Advise children to wear cos¬ tumes which are light in color, short enough to prevent tripping and non-flammable. Costumes can be covered with reflective tape or "glow" spray -pant so they pldc up the beams of auto headlights and other lights. A strong wind made pass plays almost impossible; so much of the yardage gained was on running I^ays. Tlie carel^asness of both teams, usually asfloctated with first games, causeid fairly long yardage on each play. Mooseheart then came bai* with a touchdown but missed their extra point attempt, putting the score at 7-6 Hundey.
