Residents celebrate 50 years of service with the American Legion
Post Prom Committee's McCARE Night will be held on April 7th
The Post Prom Committee from Huntley High School is sponsoring a McCARE Night at the new Huntley McDonald's on from 5-8 p.m Tuesday, April 7,. Bring your family and friends, have your favorite meal from McDonald's and a portion of the evening's proceeds will go to the Post Prom Committee.
The committee is planning after prom activities in a safe, secure environment to extend the fun of the Huntley High
School Prom on May 15, "Vegas Magic", is the theme of the activities. The cafeteria at the high school will be tumed into a Las Vegas casino with games, prizes, refreshments and music. Festivities will run from mid¬ night to 4 a.m.
The Post Prom Committee thanks the conununity for their support in providing a safe and memorable evening for our high school students. We hope to see you all at McDonald's April 7.
Hobos go to Hollywood
Legion Adjutant Herb Glissendorf presented Stan Koch with his 50-Years in American Legion pin on March 8.
Tickets are now available for the Hobo Show at the First Con¬ gregational Church of Huntley. They serve a delicious beef stew with a Variety Show after din¬ ner. This year the Hobos Go To Hollywood.
Show times are: 7 p.m. Friday, April 17, and 6 p.m. Saturday,
April 18. Tickets are $8 adults, $5 children.
Call (847) 669-3691 for tick¬ ets, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-12 p.m., or purchase them on Sunday mornings during Coffee Fellowship from 10- 10:30 a.m. at the church.
Auxiliary President Marilyn Eckman presented Fern Enstrom with her 50-Years in Auxiliary pin at the Legion's Birthday Party on March 8.
Huntley Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts Joined forces to make this year's "Scouting For Food" drive the best yet. Truck loads of food donated by area residents were delivered to the Grafton Food Pantry on March 7th. The scouts would like to thank everyone who donated; the Huntley Super¬ market for having a donation box; and the Grafton Township for provid¬ ing refreshments for the boys. Our community has once again proven that through your goodness many others will benefit and the chain of goodwill will continue.
