LIBRARY NEWS
A census of tlw town of Huntiey will be made this week by the mem¬ bers of the library committee. Next Monday, Msrch 29th, there will be a meeting in the Junior High Library where the results of the town census wili be added to those of tbe oatlyiiif areas. Also a Tust draft ofthe proposal to be sent to Northem illinoii Library System will be reviewed. AO interett- ed parties are urged to consK M 7:30 pm.
FVeund Equipment wi'l celebrate tlieir 10th anniversary with an Open House and Round-Up Auction on April 6th. Since its be- gimring hte firm has grown to I>e the the 3rd largest dealership in volimie in the central region whis is 3 states.
When Phil Freund came to Huntley and staried the business In the Harry Weltzien Building (pictured top), he waa the youngest individual ever to operate an IH dealership. He was 22.
The firm remained in the Welt/ien building 2 years then con¬ structed the building which now hoses B & K Equipment. In 1970 they constnicted a 70'x200' building ifront of that building. Thla was expanded to 8'880 sq. ft. in 1973 (pictured center), and again this year (bottom) to 26.500 .sq. ft.
The IH Dealership handles 4 major lines: aBrlciiltnre equip¬ ment, payline or industral equipment, trucks, and outdoor power equipment. They sell and service these four lines.
