A motion by Mr. Brettschnei¬ der and 2nd by Mr. Zirk to have an executive session to inter¬ view coaching candidates. Mo¬ tion carried. 6 yeas 0 nays. Mrx.'llcr, Mr. Brettschneider, Mr. Ruth, Mr. Zirk, Mrs. Liv¬ ingston, and Mrs.  Simpson.

Andrea Manning travelled to Spring.J'ield' on May 1 with her famiily to attend the liinois Secend Statewide Young Auth¬ or's Conference. Andrea's short story, "A Bad Experienc? ¦ O'ur First iBasebcdl Game" was the basis for her invitation to the conference in Spring held where 200 "you'Hig authors" frrm all over the state gathereJ. Tho full day's program included dramatic readings; small group meetings; a lecture by Mrs. Gerr.v Anderson  Armstron.?,  a

Andrea's maniiscrr;t was one of thirty retained ¦by the sponsors of the cnc'ference to be displayed in schcoi dijitricts thnxighout the state as examples of creative writing.
