As iits part of the worldwide ob¬ servance of the American Legim's 56th anniversary in March, Hunt¬ ley Post No. 673 is planning special bhihday festivities. Post Comman¬ der Bob Sdvdtz announoed today.
Legionnahes of Post No. 678 wiU celebrate the occasion with a dinner party at 7:30 p.m. on Satnrday, March Sth at the Huotiey Le^on Home.

Geiger served the department of Blbwis as its commeoder in 1960. He then went on to be the National Com¬ mander of ths American I.egton In 1972.
Post No. 673 is also bonorad to have present at this event the de¬ partment president of tho American Legion AuxiUary, Jerry Ridon, vice president Elaine Muiphy and nu¬ merous other county, distiict and division officers. Continuous mem¬ bership pins will be awarded to Post and Auxiliar>' members pre¬ sent. A roast beef dinner, family .^¦lo, wUl be ."ierved by the ladies ol the congregational Chtutaj of Huntley.
Huntley Woman Raped
A wcwnan, 21 years old, was raped in riM'ai Huntley by an unknown msm last Friday, March 1st, The man was described in a state poUce composite as weighing between 140 and 150 lbs., having red hair, speak¬ ing with a slight southern dra'.vl arijl responding to the name of Mik<?.

TWs year's Hobo Show was a s«H-out The program consisted of Canrptown Races, I Got Plenty of Nuttin, If I Were a Rich Man, Ale-x. ander's Rag-Time Band, and Old Msrn River. Ann Tirk sang Summer¬ time asnd Bin I.€ggee sang Un- chahied Melody. The hi^ school kids added Swanee and Reuben and Rachet. The Sandridge Valley, OMi- slsoing of Bandy Leggee aad Randy Boley, sang as Tears Go By and Two Hangmen. Oi course there were the usual jokes and hm. Last but not least we*e door prizes.
The choir would Uke to thank everyone who contributed to the diow and special thank you to Mrs. Thurow and her. kitchen hypers.
The choir Is directed by Mr. BUl Leggee and accompMiied by Mrs. Helen Mariowe. Tbey receive gift certificates to Weltziens Country Store from ttie choir as thanks.
