Legion Post 67S - Joint Instalation
On Satin-day, July 8th, new of¬ ficers of tho Huntley .American Le¬ gion Post 673, as well as new of- flcer- of the Huntley Aux/iliaxy unit, were installed.
Color.s were advanced by the Huntley Redskin Color Gti.iid, Deb¬ bie Hill. Dawn Jordi, Kathy Meyer, Paula Roesslein, Starr Workowski, Marcy Ungs and Pat Homeyer. Im¬ mediately after the opening of tiie meeting, the outgoing commander, Harold Doty, tumed over the gavel to the Auxiliary President Arlene Mattingly in order that the Aux¬
iliary could proceed with the in- st;Jlation of its new officers. Mrs. Donald Enstrom of Huntley was in¬ stalling officer for the Auxiliary. Miss McHenry Connty Candidates Told

Thirteen McHenry county beauties will gather at the Timbers restaurant Thursday evening for the
preliminary judging for Miss McHeruy County.
Members of the press, representatives of the sponsors, chaperones of the girls, and fair officials will attend this pageantry along with the jixiges and contestante.

Purpose of the session is to pro¬ vide jud^s and contestants with an opporttmity to beccane acquaint- so as to choose the nwst worthy Miss McHenry County from among the blondes, brunettes, and red¬ heads.
Charles Weingart, fair president, will brief the press on highlights of the 1972 fair which opens August 2 at Woodsitock for a five- day run.
At this preliminary judging, no formal scoring will take place, and iill 13 candidates will compete be¬ fore tlic judges and the grandstand
July Village Board Mayor Resigns
The regular meeting of the Hunt¬ ley Village Board was held on Thursday. July 6th at the Village Hall. All trustees were present. Fol- lowintr the reading of minutes, treasurer's report and bilUs, the board discussed a new paint machine purchased by Superintendent of Streets. Percy Swanson. Trustee Ackman stated that although the paint machine was a good invest¬ ment, he feit Mr. Swanson shoufld have contacted the board before purchasing it.
Mr. Wendell Weltzien of Bowl Hi Lanes was presertt at the meeting. Mr. Weltzien introduced the new owmers of the bowling alley who will take posessdon August 1st. They are Mr. Charles Hanson and Mr. Zleinski. It was requested that the license be charged to new owners. The matter was tumed over to the liquor committee. Both of the owners, who are brother-in-laws, have pureijased one of the new duplexes on Church Street. Ttris wibl fulfill the resident requirement of tiie Village Liquor Ordinance. Mr. Herb Jackisch of Pinecrest Golf Course was at the meeting te inquire as to how the new zoning ordinance would effect his pre-an- nexation agreemeirt with the Vil¬ lage. According to tht new zoning map the golf course is zoned Rl and according to Mr. OaldHwU is being used under a oonditiional use VILLAGE BOARD

School Physical Exam Required
Parents of children expected to crater kindergarten, fifth and ninth gnade in the Humloy Sohoois August 25 are being urged by school of¬ ficials to have their rfiild's physical and dental examinations Oompleted wiilh the exam forms returned to their schocrf by that date.
All students transferring to Huntley schools from out-of-state are also required to have a i*iysi- oail and dental exams regardless of grade. If a student has had a recent physical exam from out-of- state, proof of that may waive the requirement of a currenrt physical examination.
Illinoas statute requires medical examittations prior to or upon en¬ trance to these grades. Parents are to arrange with their physician am appointment for the exams prior to the child stctfting school in the fall.
Parents are tuged to give special attention to immunization of chil¬ dren by the doctor during the sche¬ duled physical exHrninatioo. State law requires immunization prior to coming to school.
In the case of children who have recently moved to the area, parents may secure the proper physicafl ex¬ amination forms frotn the High School offioe.
